Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

purchased acer1 netbook for xmas.Had 2 wks, screen broke.I was going to drop it grabbed screen by top of computer, now doesn't work.Contacted acer 3x to get a level 2 cust. serv. person in usa, could not give me a negotiated deal to have screen replaced.Cost is $99.00 plus shipping.Would not give me a supervisor or phone numbers of vp of marketing Mr. Mrobello or Acer Pres. Mr. Lanci..At first looking for a deal to get it fixed, now due to inconvenience and hastle I want it repaired for free.I think it has a cheap thin screen and should not have broken when grabbed. When I spoke to the level 2 tech (richard) #25324,he assured me that any complaints,go back to them in texas and the big shots never see them.I think that is poor customer service.

I think acer is too big and really doesn't care about taking care of their customers, because their products are soo cheap, and a new sucker is born every minute!!

Not happy with Acer Computers USA

If you damaged the computer the company is under no obligation to do anything for you. If I read this correctly they offered to repair the screen that YOU broke for $99 plus shipping. If that is the case they were already cutting you a huge deal. As a normal cost for a screen is going to be at least acouple hundred dollars.

Your "demands" are just ridiculous. The only "inconvenience and hastle" was brought on by you.

No one, unless you have an accidental damage warranty, replaces broken LCD screens for free...it's not a manufacturing or hardware defect...it's YOUR fault.

I'll bet ACER wishes they'd never heard of you....get over it. :)

Not surprising

It's not a surprise that they would not give you a deal on the repair. You broke it by mishandling it. Had it simply stopped working under normal use, you might have an argument. And you can forget getting it fixed for free...ain't gonna happen.
