Active Periodicals charging for magiznes I do not receive Deerfield Beach Florida
Somewhere, somehow or somebody did give my name to his company and now I'm receiving magazines that do not want
I have talked to them and tried cancel this subscription but this could not be done. I finally called them again 800-553-7633 and spoke with Kathy Ruiz and finally I was able to pay off the remainder of the subscription of the magazines at a 50% discount a total of $xxxxx.
At this time I had to change my credit card and requested the credit card company to go after them. After a few weeks I start receiving invoices stating that they could not or able to withdraw money from my credit card.
Received another call from Active Periodicals informing me that they did reimburse the credit card company and I had to pay the same amount of money they paid back to the credit card company.
The magazines were sent to my office with no name of the company and incorrect spelling of my name. Post office wrote on the magazines please inform your distribution company to put my complete address including the company name.
Received a phone call yesterday telling me that they had forgotten to give me a discount and the will extend receiving the magazines .his whole thing is a complete disaster now I am out $4..,- and who knows when they strike again. They still have my American Express number although they say they do not keep the number on file, sounds very strange to me. They have threatened to send the bills for payments to collecting agency.
I'm a citizen of good standards and I will not allow them to ruin my credit score. Anything you can do is much appreciated. Please let the world know to stay away from them as far as possible.They also say that they have my voice on the tape.
It is possible because the last time I paid with American Express they said that they would tape this conversation.I feel obligated to change my American Express number to avoid additional charges if this scam comes to a boil.
