Adam and Eve Hair braiding Greed and disregard for customers Baltimore, Pennsylvania
On 12/31/09, I showed up at the Adam and Eve braiding place to have my hair braided. All the braiders were busy with other clients so I went to their branch still on york road. The proprietor asked me to wait for a braider who had driven to the grocery store and would be back in about 10-15 minutes. I waited for 1 hour 10 minutes before she came.She did not com into the salon but asked me to get into her car as she was going to braid my hair at the branch I had visited earlier. I told her I would follow her there in my car. When I arrived at the salon, the braider,(Eve) who is actually one of the owners had already started braiding another client, who I suppose had also been waiting to have her hair braided. Eve told me that they had yet another branch and she was willing to drive me to the location never mind that there is a client in her chair who would have to wait again for her return. At this point, I walked out of the salon and Eve followed me to the parking lot. She was grabbing my arms to the point where she was inflicting pain. I let her know that and proceeded to my car.
I believe if they had simply said that they were having a busy day and reschedule me for another day would have been quite acceptable; but they placed profits above my need to be treated with some dignity,consideration and respect. I have been going to this parrticular franschise for may be 5 years. I have always been disgusted by their unprofessionalism. At the end of the day, they have no qualms about asking the clients to take them home. Often peddlers come in and they stop braiding to try out the merchandise. They need a lesson in customer service.
I will never return to this salon. Ever.
