I recieved an email from Gregory Munson saying I was eligible for a job with them and that I should fill out the application online. I completed the application that included several peculiar questions such as: What cell phone provider I was using and if I was interested in consolidating debt!

After I filled out the application I was told I would be contacted in 48 hours. When I didn't receive a call I decided to sign in using my profile I had created at their web site. When I did this I then discovered I had to complete more stuff!! The asked for a few references, including their email addresses and phone numbers. I obliged. After completing this the web site toid me I wouold be contacted in a day or 2. No call.

I might add that the entire time I was triyng to 'apply' their computer system crashed almost every time. Because of this I decided to email their contact email. The first time I emailed them the email was sent back to me the next day stating that the email could not be delivered. I tried to email them again and had the saem result. Then 2 days later I received an email from them stating that they were experiencing difficulties and I should try to re-apply!?

Anyway, in the mean time I received a call on my cell phone with an automoated message stating that I should log on to their website at admincareercenter.com and apply for the job they were interested in. I logged on to this site and low and behold it is the exact same format as the first site I tried to log on to at usa-jobsite.net!!!

I then came on here and saw that someone had posted about the web site thecareerapplications.com and referenced a man named Greg Munson. The funny thing is that Greg Munson was the same name that I had on my initial email from usa-jobsite.net. I decided to plug thecareerapplications.com into my url and what do you know!; the format for this web site is the same as the other two sites I was on.

Here is my problem: First, I think it is obvious that someones shady and deceptive activity is at work here. Second, I am really sincerely trying to make a career move and am getting jerked around by some scam. It is a waste of my valuable time and possibly even a set up for a scam.

Career Network, Inc. Alexander Simon finally have the link to Alex Defrawy or Defrawi - search Lou Pearlman ponzi schemes

#2Consumer Comment

Thu, October 30, 2008

Finally have the link I've been looking for for Alexander Simon, Career Network, Inc., and Alex Simon KidsTalent Network.com. Always look at the Terms & Agreements pages, on all of these 'fronts' for the job sources, it alwasy reverts back to CN or Career Network, Inc. then you know they are one in the same. Thank you to the other responders, I now have without having to do more exhausting searches that this Alexander Simon must be the one in the same Alec Defrawi or Defrawy, who was one of the principals mentioned in the court cases agains Lou Pearlman. Lou Pearlman was just sentenced to 25 years in prison May of 2008 for his 20 year long ponzi schemes, one getting investors for an airline scheme and others Talent Agent schemes. Sound familiar Alex or Alexander or Alec? I can't seem to apply these days for jobs on craigslist without getting this Career Network, Inc company in my face or calling me on the phone. Career Network also advertises for sales phone staff, and I'm sure the get innocent front people for this as well. I reported them to FTC, Craigslist, etc. Career Network, Inc. (don't know if same players) but they were indicted in 2001 by the Federal Trade Commissin for asking for money for job recommendation services for government and postal jobs that were false. Only taking people's money. The Talent Kids Network, takes money of aprox. $30 to download a book, sight unseen, but there are reports of them taking $500 from parents stating that their kids will work in show biz, this seems to be in Florida. The main email reps I have received have phones or address in Orlando, Fl. So, do all of the other entities I've discoverd, and gee, Lou Pearlman, yep Orlando, Florida. Since Lou Pearlman was just jailed, and I can't see that this Alexander Simon or Alec Defrawi was charged, even though court records says Lou Pearlman pointed to this Alec guy as the computer master-mind, I believe Alexander Simon (Defrawi/Defrawy) thought it was safe, came out of the wood-work, and is working the scheme again. I was in the risk department of a huge residential lender helping to investigate fraud, they tend to hit all at once in one place, make money then dissapear and move on. There is enough evidence, that this Alec Simon or Alexander Simon, or probably the orginal entity of Alec Defrawi needs to be found and investigated. Oh, my evidence that Career Network, Inc. is indeed connected, the email failure damon notice came back not with the [email protected] front name, but came back with HIS original email on aol.com. Caught you! I have that email response nicely tucked away for evidence. My goal is to help victims, get awareness out, but I desparetely want to help craigslist get rid of this criminal. I need to find a real job. I Would love to get one back in fraud research again, as I used to work in conjunction with the FBI, Secret Service and Homeland Security helping to obtain data and do internet research for my VP for court trials. The stupid think is, these fraudsters never really read my resume, or you think they wouldn't send it to someone who lists these legal agencies and working on fraud investigations, but again, fraudsters are stupid and eventually trip themselve up to get caught. I can't believe he was brazen enough to rebuttal! My next report will be to link Alexander Simon to Lou Pealman! Yes!

Internet job sites, or lead generators gathering info for sale?

#3Consumer Suggestion

Wed, January 23, 2008

I continue to get offers from similar sites, different names, sometimes they match my requirements, sometimes they do not. Hard to recognize which ones are legitimate. The hidden intent is just gathering information. They are lead generators. Your information then sold to companies seeking to market their products, or services. Monster etc. have unfortunately become a great source of info for marketing. In the old days, you might see a car, brand new, and asked to fill out a form and drop it in a box, then the info was sold to travel, industrial, food, whomever was willing to pay for a name address and phone number. Now with the internet, they have the ability to gather more specific info, for lead generation. I'm sure there are some internet legit career companies, but it is very hard to figure which is which, and who is who, I therfore avoid them completly. My suggestion, if you have the time and resources, REALLY INVESTIGATE the company offering the job, never click on anything in their e mails. My suggestion and opinion is career that legitimate job boards are being used for marketing generation, and lead generation. Take any resumes off for for public view, and go in the sites and search. I have done that. The job sites however allow companies access to their files for a fee, so I still get e mails for jobs that I'm not qualified for, and some I am qualified for. I do not answer them period. Suggestion: Homework, else avoid them, most are seeking info gathering for databases.

I get the same emails...

#4Consumer Suggestion

Tue, January 15, 2008

I also receive the same emails in my inbox. I don't know why but perhaps someone gave my contact info out. Trying to actually apply and get a response is somewhat of a joke. Thats not what its designed for. It appears to be designed to get someone to provide contact info of friends/family members as to send them advertisements. Hence the part about your cell phone, etc. I don't know of anyone who has actually achieved employment by responding to those emails. The "responses" from the company should be proof enough that whats going on is not what your being told. I have heard literally tons of sales pitches before and trust me, most of the company response is the same recycled crap that never really addresses your dilemma. I would recommend going to actual companies or legitimate staffing centers to seek employment. Know that you are not alone in having this happen to you. Good Luck!!

Again, I'm sorry

#9UPDATE Employee

Thu, January 10, 2008

I'm sorry for all of your frustrations regarding the use of our websites. As I said, we're new and we're still working the kinks out of the system. Our servers aren't up to speed yet, and although we're doing business it's more like we're in a beta mode. We are a national recruiting agency with offices throughout the country, I just happen to be located in Florida. I have forwarded your concerns to our tech people regarding the email difficulties as well as the phone number. We're working on it. A lot of the offices are in the process of being set up. Part of my job is to find out the difficulties of users at the back end, and send those complaints to the tech staff. I'm not familiar with your particular case as I can't access those records out of concern for your privacy, but experience tells me that you might not have been at the top of our list for that job. Allow me to explain a bit about recruiting agencies. Recruiters alleviate much of the work for companies during the hiring process. A single job posting can generate hundreds of responses that can become cost prohibitive for a small HR staff to screen. Recruiters do the initial screening for a fee which is usually less than the man hours the HR staff would spend doing the same task, and ultimately deliver a small list, typically of 5 candidates, of the most qualified applicants. It's possible you did not make the cut. That does not mean we aren't going to continually match you against other job orders we receive and hopefully assist you in getting a new job. I understand how stressful job searching can be, and wish you the best of luck in your quest.

Then why is there no phone number?

If youor company is not a scam then: Why is there no phone number? Why, when I send an email to your info site does it continually bounce? Why, is the company listed as being in St. Louis and you are listed as being in Orlando? Why haven't I received the call back I was promised.....it has been 3 or 4 days and I was told I wouold be contacted within 48 hours? Why do the current web sites all resemble YOUR so called "new company" usa-jobsite.net two emails from Greg Munson admincareercenter.com received a taped message from Sharon. thecareerapplications.com jobproapp.com I received an email and checked out the web site and it was similar to ALL of the web sites above. I have a hard time beleiving you are a real company......Especially when you are researching if someone has posted you on this web site. If you want to resolve it then call me, send me an email from a real person or make an attempt to contact me. If this is a new company it certainly will not last if yoou can't even follow through on your intial follow up!

First, let me apologize for the inconvenience you've suffered using our site. It is not intended to be anything but a helpful tool in assisting you to find a new job. Let me explain a little about us. We're a brand new, upstart recruiting company that is looking to take on the big boys on the internet. We're currently building up our site and will be transforming into something special very soon. We're very excited. During this initial growth period we are partnering with other companies to offer promotions to job-seekers. Please read each page of our application carefully and respond only to the offers you wish to receive additional information. Opting out of any of the offers will not affect your consideration for any of our posted jobs. If you do not wish to be contacted via your cell phone, unclick the box that authorizes us to do so, we will contact you another way. We receive many responses for each job, so you may not get a final callback for that job, but we will keep you in our records and try and match you with another job. I hope this clears up any confusion you may be having. Good luck with the job hunt!
