Complaint: Wednesday afternoon September 25, 2013 I contacted AES Automotive Control Modules (1-888-593-2261)

I spoke with partsologist Ryan Ext: 5409. I discussed the issue with FORD no longer supporting the GEM modules for several years. I discussed my vehicle and requirements.

My Vehicle is a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT – (2x4) 2 wheel drive x 4 door. The module number My ford dealer was the incorrect number at time of first contact with Ryan at AES. I committed to the order and pricing and overnight shipping paid for their module with a credit card 9/25/2013 Order Number 205942.

This night I purchased GEM Module that night with that part number F5719B165A6 the ford order number for the GEM in my vehicle. I paid via MasterCard for the replacement GEM module I was assured they had the correct replacement that would be tested and programmed and overnight shipped to me. I had every indication when I placed my order through discussion with Ryan that the module would be overnight shipped, I would have it the next day. (This is a bait and switch lie)

I explained my Ford service manager was waiting for the part and service time was adding up. I also told Ryan I gave the service manager at my local FORD dealer the web site info for AES contact in case anyone else had a module that is no longer supported by FORD.

The next day Thursday 9/26/2013 I was called and advised by Ryan that the part number was not the correct number. I contacted my Ford Service Manager and he gave me the number off the OEM GEM Module from my vehicle F57B-14B205-BG.

I was assured they had the part and would be programmed and shipped out overnight,

Issues continue, I call Ryan @ AES again. Friday 9/27/2013 I was told they had the part and could expect overnight shipping. I advised my local Ford dealer Service Manager that the part should be here Monday 9/30/2013.

Monday 9/30/2013 arrived, No Part, no calls from Ryan. I called Ryan @ AES Monday afternoon.

More excuses from Ryan. The part is in the programmers hands.

On 10/1/2013 Tuesday No Part. On 10/2/2013 I was advised the part was to be ordered from their warehouse to be sent to their Technician and then would be programmed and shipped next day.

10/2/2013 Wednesday - No Part. I did not call due to pending surgical coordination for on the job injuries for damaged nerves in my left arm. I am also furloughed by my employer DOT/FAA.

10/3/2013 Thursday -  No Part – I called and got more excuses.

10/4/2013 Friday – No Part. I was told the part is on the bench ready to be programmed.  Ryan stated that he advised tech’s to put y module in front of everyone else.

10/5/2013 – 10/6/2013 Weekend – No Part

10/7/2013 Monday – No Part- Assured they were working on it but could not find any of their technicians.

10/8/2013 Tuesday – No Part- 4Pm Ryan stated part is programmed and ready to ship but not shipped today. All shipments went out already, no =one available to ship my part the part shipping department left for the day. Would be shipped tomorrow overnight 10/9/2013 and sometime Thursday I would get my part. I asked for an RMA to return my defective OEM module for the core charge ($25.00) but Ryan does not even know what their own web site stated about core returns. I stated e-mail me an RMA.

All communications with AES are predicated with lies and ill-conceived business communication practices.
