AFNI - CHARTER COMM ripoff a complete fraudulent swindling company cheating innocent customers Falsely reporting a debt 6 1/2 years old BLOOMINGTON Illinois
I pulled my annual credit report today and saw a totaly false, negative, collection report from AFNI INC. It stated that I owed CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS $73 from 1999. As far as I can remember there were no dues left unpaid with the cable company. Since 1998 I lived within the same area that if CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS wanted to communicate they could easily do so.
Thanks to ripoffreport.com, I found telephone number of AFNI, from other reports filed by people who are suffering from this FRAUDULENT, SINISTER collection agency. I called them today, they asked for my address and telephone number. When I refused they said they can only send documents of proof to my house address. I relented and now they have my current address, which I am sure will be used for more fraudulent work they do.
Interesting thing is as soon as I said their claim is not correct, they lady became rude and started saying I cannot file a FRAUD report. Unless they are aware that the kind of work they are doing is DECEPTIVE, why would they go on defensive as soon as they hear about false claim.
I disputed the claim on my credit reporting agency, waiting for the *false proof* AFNI is going to send me so I can take further action against them. I have some valuable suggestions from my fellow sufferers, I will fight these bastards.
A simple google search revealed tons and tons of complaints against this DECEITFUL company.
