Afni, Verison California Sent me to collections for a number I never had. Boomimgton Illinois
I have been living in Nevada for the past 5 years. Before that I lived in the Los Angeles area but never in the 909 area code, which is San Bernadino county.
I was sent a "settlement offer" by Afni collections claiming that I had a Verison Califoria account and phone number with a 909 area code.
I had never received a bill from either Verison or Afni before, so there was no reason for them to send me a "settlement offer" at this point.
The total bill was supposed to be for $416.79, but they are "willing to settle" for $208.40. In other words they are trying to steal $208.40 from me for a phone number and account I never had.
They sent this bill not to my current address, but to that of my mother in law's address, wherein I have never lived. She also does NOT live in San Bernadino county.
There are just too many of these rip off incidents connected to Afni and verison California. I will not pay this bill inor will I now ever do business with Verison Wireless unless they distance themselves from Afni and this obvious ploy to cheat people and ruin their credit.
