I use to work there and no we do not have your account number. We get the routing number which is only the electronic address of your bank, any company with Starnet can do it. Now your account information is not provided. You give that to us. The FAM trip does come with 7 days before it is billed and you do have to agree to have it sent out. The teliflex also has to be agreed upon before it is sent out. Sorry for your bad experience, but you should not have given any info over the phone anyway.

In response to the above response to this issue, the company that called this topic poster would've been verifying the information they already had, they wouldn't have needed to give the account number again. I went through a similar issue with this company and when they did the account verification with me, they had my routing and account number correct... so even if this consumer would've not given the account number and only said "yes that's my account number" they most likely would've still processed the charges, as they have done with many others. Teliflex is a bad, bad company and I urge anyone who ever receives offers from them to immediately delcine the offer, request to be removed from their system, and advise the Teliflex rep to never call them again.

You gave them your bank account number - why? The routing number belongs to the bank, every financial institution has its own routing number, it is not your personal routing number. The scam artist just picks one or two of the largest banks in your area and says they know YOUR routing number but all they know is the BANK'S routing number. If someone knocked on your front door and they were in rags and gave some c**k-n-bull story would you give them your bank account number. I think not. Simple rule - never give your bank account number to ANYONE on the telephone unless YOU CALL THEM. And anytime you are asked to confirm a number tell the caller to give it to you and you will tell them if it is correct or not. NEVER GIVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER ON THE TELEPHONE.
