8/22/2014 I handwashed my car the day I was driving to airport because the Mendham Car Wash, (where I take it weekly), was undergoing repairs. I even touched up with tiny black touch-up kit, any tiny nicks, because I take care of my car. Not one touch up was larger than a dot.

I brought our car to Airpark JFK. We are very loyal customers, travel frequently, and have never have had a problem with Airpark, always courteous and timely in the past, at all locations (JFK, LGA, EWR).

8/30/2014 we picked up car, and my husband checked it. There was a yellow series of small, horizontal scratches above the driver wheel well which matched the yellow barricade they drove the car past. Manager Bernard had us fill out a form, but would not give us a copy of it, so we took a photo of it. He then said they video every car that comes in, and pulled the video of our car. He said there was something on it, although he also admitted the quality of the black and white video was terrible, grainy, with a lot of glare. We looked at what he saw, and it did not match our mark, in size, shape or placement. He gave us George's number and said he will call us back to proceed with a claim. As we had always been treated well by Airpark, we were pleasant, assuming this happens often, and they have a protocol for dealing with damages.

Unfortunately, the protocol was deny, yell, blame, and say no. George said he had proof on the video the car was damaged before we brought it in. I argued the glare did not match the markings. He said we did not inspect the car on premises (the video that, too) and that there is a sign somewhere that says you must inspect car on premises.

A lawyer said that "Even if they have a posted sign that says they are not responsible it is not legally binding because they are in possession." Because George was gruffy and bullying me, I asked to speak with someone else. He said, "I am not going to give the phone to someone new who will say 'yes' to you. No one will every say 'yes' to you. I ended the call here.
