I purchase a 2002 Volkswagon Passat from Aj & Jr's Towing in March 2012. I had problems with the vehicle over heating from the beginning. Julian Rubeiz (owner Aj & Jr's Towing) worked on the vehicle and attempted to repair it.
lian Rubeiz (owner/operator of AJ & Jr's Towing) started repairs on my 2002 volkswagon Passat in 2012 and worked on it from time to time over the next year. My vehicle was running when he started, however, it was over heating. First he added a extra radiator fan to help cool the engine, (it was straight wired and didnt work properly) but it still overheated. After numerous things that he tried, talking to other people about the car, and having other people work on the car, he came to the conclusion it needed a new computer. The first computer he ordered was wrong so he ordered the correct one. When it came in, he found out the new computer needed to be "married /programmed" to the car. He was not capable of doing that so he took it to the Wray Volkswagon Dealership. The car was in such disarray and disassembled the dealership REFUSED to attempt to program the computer. They advised me the condition of the vehicle and the radiator fan being straight wired prevented them from doing any repairs or diagnosis due to it being unsafe for the machines they use being fried.
Julian took the vehicle back down to his lot and periodically would do research and troubleshooting on the internet as well as talk to people about the car. He told me he was at a stand still on how to fix the vehicle and said the car would be fine there until we could decide what to do. He told me my car was safe, secure, and would not incurr any storage fees due to the circumstances. While it was on his lot in 2014 between August & December, someone removed my instrument cluster and it appeared to be replaced or switched with a different one. I reported it to Julian but he couldnt confirm nor deny if in fact it was not replaced because the vehicle would not start or get any power because the computer went out. I was not happy with the situation however I could not prove or disprove mine was taken. Regardless, my vehicle was definately open and avaliable for someone to have access and remove it.
I spoke to him on several occassions checking on my vehicle and any new information he had from time to time. Always being assured it was safe secure and was not a problem for it to remain stored on his lot. I have saved messages between us that confirms that as well.
I recently went to check on my vehicle in January 2015, only to find my vehicle was no longer there. I was never contacted about me moving it, never told it was going to be removed, nor given the opportunity to move it myself. The leinholder was contacted and told to come get the vehicle. By the time I found out the my car was removed 3-4 weeks had passed and the leinholder auctioned off my car.
The day I found out my car was gone, Julian told me that we would work something out on another vehicle to replace my car. I contacted him several times the following 2 weeks only to be ignored and basicly told he wasnt going to do anything about it. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they have an open/active complaint. I would like someone to contact me and possibly advise me of my legal rights and what action whether criminal or civil I might be able to take.

Tonia is satisfied and states that she made a mistake as soon as she confronted me. The situation was resolved instantly. If you read toward the end of this report she states that she made a mistake . The last thing we want is unsatisfied customers. There is always three sides to every story there side your side and the truth.

The owner of AJ's & Jr's Towing and myself have come to a resolution in regards to this matter. An unfortunate misunderstanding/miscommunication caused more of an issue than was necessary. An employee that is no longer with this company was not aware of the arrangement nor did they communicate to the owner what was going on. Once the owner of this company was personally made aware of the situation, he responded and took action to resolve the situation.

First let me start out by saying, that was such a LAME attempt to defend yourself and make an excuse for your negilance. Yes, Julian & I were in a relationship for close to 3 years, and yes I did help him out with his title work. I also sold vehicles and parts for him and helped him with other paperwork or anything else he needed. However, we ended our relationship in the early part of 2014. We remained friends and we still conducted business together from time to time. He has had several girlfriends since we ended our relationship and that has nothing to do with the matter at hand in any way, shape, nor form. He did not give me my 2002 Volkswagen Passat, I purchased it from him.
Its real easy for me to prove who is being truthful, I have PROOF. Julian stated in his rebuttal that he gave me that car (the 2002 Volkswagen Passat this dispute is over) for helping him with some paperwork, that is an outright LIE. I will attach to this rebuttal all my paperwork detailing the transaction between Julian and myself. As you will see, I have the paid reciept for the car that shows the detailed payment record as well as BOTH our signatures when I paid off. I would bet money that he thought all that information was in my vehicle when he disposed of it, but he would be WRONG!! So everyoone/anyone reading this report can see first hand proof instead of the usual he said/she said.
As far as his response to the title loan with TitleMax. Once again another lie that can be proven. I paid my vehicle off in August of 2012, I didn't get a loan on my vehicle until January 2013. So his statement that as soon as I got title in my name I went and got a $4000 title loan on it is LIE. I did take out a loan on the car, he is telling the "partial" truth about that. The part he is leaving out is that it was HIS idea and HIS contact at title loan company. He had already taken out a title loan with that company on a 2008 Honda Civic for $5000 prior to that. He is the one who took my vehicle to Titlemax because I could not drive it.
I also am going to attach screen shots of text messages between the two of us discussing my property being stored there and Julian telling me it was not a problem and I could come get it whenever I wanted, that she (one of his new girlfriends) wouldnt bother me again and my property was safe and secure.
In regards to his statement about him giving me a Jaguar and Miata. Julian did in fact buy me a 1996 Miata that he paid $700 for, and it was a gift. The Jaguar was part gift and part payment for title work and other things I helped him with. I too purchased gifts for Julian over the course of our relationship such as a golf cart, a new gas grill and various other things, however they were gifts just like the things he gave me, and they have NOTHING to do with the matter at hand.
I am sure after reading my rebuttal and seeing my proof attached, the one who is telling the truth and the one who is lying will be easy to see.

This in response to Tonia. She is my ex girl friend. As soon as she found out im seeing some one else she starts this go figure. Well i gave her that car for helping me with some paper work. It wasent much. On top of that i gave her a nice jaguar and bought her a miata car as well. Any way this volkwagon she got from me as soon as she got the car in her name she went and got a 4000 dollar title loan on it. They came and repoed the vehical. She never paid any of the 4000 plus intrest to Title max the title loan company. Its not my fault so quit trying to hurt someone anyway you can.
