While my husband and I were purchacing a new car from Mr. Ruiz, he first gave us unnessesary stress during a complete run around with paperwork.

Once all paperwork was signed, Mr. Ruiz had told my husband and I to "go have coffee" so he could have his guys give our new car an oil change, fill the fluids, ect.. when we came back to pickup the car, they "didn't have time to do anything" not even a car wash, so whatever, we'll do it ourselves.

Then, it came time to go to the registry he handed us the papers we thought we needed, as it turns out he did not give us the proper paperwork. We went back to the dealership to get the correct info and he REFUSED to give it to us. We called the local police and they told him that he needs to give us the correct papers. Well, due to the holiday this weekend it had to wait now until Tuesday.

On Tuesday, I personally went there 5 times looking for him or at least the paperwork. He knew that I was there, his colligues were calling him on his phone and he kept telling them to tell me "come back in 30 minutes" well...

I was on my way back to him when I got stopped by the police, they impounded my car for the plates on it were to our trade in and I explained what the story was, they also noted that he took my inspection sticker off of our old car and put it on the new one, told us we were all set and let us drive off the lot.

This man is rude, sneaky and runs a very bad business. He has cost us a fortune in headaches, money and now impounded our new Mercedes Benz in a tow yard that probably scratched it up. He still is no where to be found as of yet.

THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

It is illegal for a dealer to release a car without a temp tag and proper registration paperwork. And yes, the cops there will impound your car in a heartbeat. You need to turn this guy in to the DMV. His dealer's license WILL be revoked.

From what I see, you were lied to from the first, and you went along with it because you wanted to drive a Mercedes. Why on Earth would an oil change be needed on a new car? Sounds like a worn-out used car to me. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you've bought a stolen car, a salvaged wreck, or even a flood car. Try going to an automotive website and run the vehicle's viin number. The cops don't inmpound cars for nothing, even in third-world Lawrence.

Misty - First, I am sorry, what a mess you have to deal with now - ugh. Is this a brand new Mercedes or a "Certified" one? If so, contact Mercedes Benz immediately. They will be VERY displeased with an authorized dealer letting a Mercedes go without washing or anything. Do you have an attorney? If so, contact him/her immediately. Who is the general sales manager of this dealership? The owner? I would suggest you contact them right away as well. Also, most states give you 30 days to transfer plates from one vehicle to another - when did you buy this car?
