BE AWARE: I had placed an ad in the Recycler to sell one pair (male&female) of Eclectus parrots. The woman that responded who claims to go by the name of Alicia and her husbands name suppossedly by Steven who with cell number
760-694-5733 (Victorville area) responded to my ad and she was the only one who had my address to come over to see the parrots. On the day that her husband was suppossed to come over her husband never showed up. The following morning my parrots were gone. But they only took the two males. The day they we're missing I contacted her and she already had her phone number changed. The police even suspect that they did it, but they aren't doing much about it. They could not
take the female because she was inside the nesting box sitting on an egg. The story was aired on channel 7 (Pricey parrots stolen from North Hills,CA) news on March 12, 2012 and channel 11 on March 13, 2012. I am trying and doing everything that I can to get my birds back. I'm 67 years old and my husband recently passed away, I'm also on a fixed income and the stress is too much to handle besides my parrots/companions being stolen from me. This happened on, March 9, 2012. My two beloved male Eclectus parrots are both green with yellow/orange beaks, the feathers under their wings are red and light blue. One goes by the name of Kiwi and the other goes by the name of Pretty Boy. Kiwi's distinctive feature is on his left foot he is missing a claw ( pic available upon request) Pretty Boy has a birthday band on his left foot (Pic available upon request). I had my parrots for over 20 years. I had Kiwi from when he was 0nly three weeks old.
Today I am being assisted by family and friends in a desperate effort to bring my companions back, Kiwi as well as Pretty Boy were more than just my pets, Kiwi and Pretty Boy gave me emotional support, as well as so much more.
The authorities have been notified of the theft and are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the birds. They were stolen from the North Hills, Ca (San Fernando Valley) area and through the location of the cell phone number of the couple who stole my birds live in the Victorville area. If any of you that live in the area and knows of someone that just recently gotten two male Eclectus as pictured, have any information is asked to please email the me (owner).
It is probable that they were stolen with the idea of selling them, but if the word is spread and enough people are on the lookout it is very possible that the perpetrators feel enough pressure to let them go. It is essential that this information is shared and the photos circulated...Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.
