"Alex" drove up to me with his friend in a White tinted out Dodge magnum car. He started out by asking me about help for directions to get to the airport (LAX) he asked if I spoke any Italian or spanish. He had a heavy Italian accent and proceeded to ask me some about needing my help to get home. He said he was a designer for Giorgio Armani and that he has some thing to give me in appreciation for my help. He was curious and let him continue on about his "gift".
They parked the car and he put 3 RGA jackets in a RGA labelled bag and told me that this was a gift if I could help him get back home to Italy. He showed me his airline ticket that was scheduled to depart on the 3rd of April and said that he needed money to change the departure date because he got ripped off in Vegas by a stripper for $10,000. I told him he needed to call the airline and ask them what to do. He asked if I could give him some money in return for the present (he said that the airport would charge him tax to take the merchandise back anyways)
He said that the jackets are present to me for helping him but then later he wanted me to give him some money to help him out in exchange. I went ahead and gave him $100.00 and he said that he wanted back 1 of the jackets. I didnt think that this was a scam until I met up with my a friend of mine he was approached by "Alex" in November at the same Washington Mutual at the corner of Pico and Overland in West LA. My friend basically repeated the same story and then I knew it was con job.
I later went home thinking well it wasnt so bad paying $100.00 for 2 leather jackets, but come to find out that they were not even leather!!
As listed in the other stories about him, he mentioned that he would pay back any money that I loaned him when he got home to Italy by western union. He said he comes from a rich family and told me not to worry about.
If I find this guy again, I will be sure to call the police after I have kicked his butt!!
