I would order the full package from the phone company including caller ID, Call waiting ID, VOICEMAIL, and anonymous call rejection. Then buy a phone that supports caller ID and Call waiting ID, which is very common and inexpensive. There is also a device that you put in your phone line that blocks any blocked# or automated calls, and sends a fax machine pulse back on the automated calls, and your # gets automatically removed as a bad#. Voicemail and caller ID are essential as it stores the date and time along with the message. Now you have your evidence to take to the police, and even to court. You need to send them a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request as per your rights under the FDCPA. Send it by certified mail, return reciept requested. Put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. Also go to FTC.gov and file an online complaint EACH TIME they call. Or get a fax machine and unlimited long distance and send your cease communications request in bold print about 150 times every night after they close. This wipes out the toner and paper and fills the memory, and stops them from doing business by fax. They will ONLY get YOURS.

You can pick one up for just few dollars and it can be set to reject any call that hides it's number. They've only been on the market for the last 25 years or so. When they finally start leaving their number, keep a log and start a telephone harassment case through your police department. They have detectives assigned to this sort of thing, and will go after the company with criminal charges. I've done it.
