I received a voicemail today from a woman claiming I owed money for a payday loan I took out in 2012 which isn't true, but they also knew the last four digits on my social and also threatened me with coming to my place of employment or home I don't like to be threatened but I honestly think it's a scam and don't know what my options are right now.

Do you still have the Voice mail, if so CALL THE POLICE
Threats are chargeable offences
1st: Next time they call if they do, Laugh at them (it annoys the hell out of scum), Speak to them as if they are so foolish you find them funny.
If you did not keep the VM: Ignore them, if they call again: Tell them to never call again, harrasment is against the law and tell them to prove their claim, because they will have to in court. Remember, they are funny. If they leave a Voice Mail, keep it and call the cops.
The police are un-likely to be able to do anything but if there are enough complaints with proof police will act.
Finally, pull your credit. See if this is listed and chase it back.
Good Luck
