Alside window manufactures perhaps the most worthless, defective windows in the US. I used a local franchisee (more about them in another report), to replace all of the windows in my four rental properties. Within a few weeks, problem after problem began occurring. Of the 42 Alside windows that I purchased, fully two-thirds of them have cracks, are foggy, don't close right. While one would expect a problem window now and again, the pure scale of these issues are such that it leads me to believe that Alside's entire manufacturing process is worthless. When problems began occuring I contacted the folks who sold me the windows, they sent me to Alside, said it was their problem. After repeated phone calls and conversations, they essentially told me that it wasn't their problem either and they won't stand behind their product. I truly feel that Alside passes off defective windows to their builders and distributors and that they collude to shield each other from any warranty issues that arise. If you are looking for new windows, run screaming if your contractor even mentions Alside.

Alside Warranty claim

I am an Alside dealer serving the Pittsburgh Wester PA Area. The dealer who sold and installed the windows should have assisted you in resolving the warranty issue with Alside. Alside has a local supply center in your area. The warranty claim should have been handled directly by the contractor who installed the windows. The fact that the dealer refused to help out is very disturbing.

Alside windows come with a lifetime warranty and free in-home service by Alside for one year. This entire matter could have been avoided if the contractor would have made the phome call for you or at least provided the phone number for the supply center for a service call.

We have been selling Alside products for two years and any warranty / repair issues have been taken care of in a timly matter. The problem is not the fault of Alside but the lazy contractor you bought the windows from is clearly at fault. Do not blame the product blame the company you purchased it from for not providing good service after the sale.
