Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In October of 2002 our computer crashed. With the help of a friend we were able to download most of our software and start using it again. At that time we were having problems contecting with our internet provider. At that time I noticed a number in our Dialer that had a 209 area code, we checked it but being a bit of a computer dummy, I didn't have a clue!! We also had an egyptian eyeball appear on our desktop with "Live Sex" We quickly deleted that and questioned our son extensivley about this.

Our son had been spending alot of time on msn, chatting with friends and downloading music off the internet, well that all ended. Most of the time our server was down, I couldn't even make my copier work. we had to buy a new modem.

About the 3rd week of Nov. 02 we recieved our first bill, about $275 for "adult site" viewing, the very next week we got another bill for $130, by this time we were about to lose it. We called the 800 number wich came with the bill to no avail, couldn't leave a message, only a recording directing us to their website, and "questions will be answered promptly" that there was no where to ask a question.

Finally we called the FTC, to see what was up, and we were directed to the FCC, Georgia's Attorney Generals Office and the Oregon state Attorney Generals Office. I finaly got my phone call answered when I repeated FBI FCC FTC Attorney Generals Office into the phone, while it was making me wait for the next available operator (it would always hang up before)

The man went on and on about how my son had to go through 18 steps and swear that he was 18 to get to this site and be billed, we knew that at least one night that we were billed for he was not even home, so we knew it was a(censored). To make this long story end, we finaly today got our computer back from the computer dr, to the tune of $125 we had at least 1 virus and the remnants of 2 others.

I would like to know if there is anyway to hold these people responsible for the damages they inflicted, not just money but the emotional stress that they caused??? How many people just pay?? I'm still mad and just plain ticked!!! Just last week I was sent a supposed copy of a letter that was sent to the Federal Communications Commission, concerning my claim. It's a Nightmare. now we have a virus scan, that we didn't before, we were just stupid. What other recourse do we have and can they continue to try and make us pay??
