AMC Industries; Woodmaster Millwork Fleeced By A Repeat Offender Palmetto Florida
This company continues to reinvent themself after each occurance of them scamming someone and they file a lawsuit. They were AMC Industries at the time we hired them for a 200k project in NYC. We sent the requested deposit to get the shop drawings done. They sent very nice drawings and we were led to believe all was well.
Once the shop drawings were approved and prior to fabrication further monies were requested to hold a production slot if we wanted to receive our goods on time. An additional payment was made bringing the total payments to 100k.
Well this is where it got strange.
We discussed delivery dates and they would simply come and go. We were told the company they subbed the veneer panel work to used the wrong glue and the panels all delaminated. They would need to be made again. Then there were more excuses and they just kept coming.
Finally while on vacation in Orlando I decided to drive over to Tampa to check on production and the warehouse was shocked. There were 2 men walking around fixing a machine with none of the machines running. I was told them men had not yet arrived but it was 10am and they would be in later. Then the men had worked all night and were not coming in. There was no material to be found except the owner furnished leather we had sent for the booths to be made.
It was evident at that moment this operation was a complete scam.
While Ray may have been good back in the day, something has gone very wrong over the past couple of years. The company continues to fleece other unsuspecting customers. In fact, I just heard from one this morning and how they've paid 150k and received nothing.
Stay away from this company or any other company they chose to start. They are complete scammers and it's a shame he's able to keep pulling his tricks and taking other peoples money. I don't know how he lives day to day knowing he's cheating people out of their hard earned money.
