American Engines Nashville ripoff Engine replacement they've had my car total of 70 days so far Nashville Tennessee
168,000 miles on jeep that I wanted to have engine rebuilt because of leaks and small nock.
They told me cost of $2,086.13. End up costing
$3,085.77. Only thing I didn't like about that was core charge of $365.00 for head that they said was cracked. Told them to hold for me to look at. They said they would, but didn't. The car passed emissions two weeks before. Didn't smoke and wasn't cracked in my opinion. That I would say counts since I rebuilt my transmisson in my other car and normally do all my car repairs. Except for this one time when i needed my main vehicle back S.A.P. Well when I get my car back 34 days later. As soon as I get home. I look under car and see a nice leak. And next morning when start the car the belt squeals for
2 mins. I took car back the next week and they
kept it 8 more days. Which had no effect on the problems. Close to holidays I kept the car tell Jan 31. Just having to put 1 1/2 guarts in it a week. And then Feb 18 on a weekend the water lines busted at the shop and my car was one of the cars with the windows down for some reason. Lets just say it wasn't pretty.
They had someone come in and clean the car out, and told me it was ready. I got one block and the ABS and check engine light came on. I stopped and checked the oil it was 1 1/2 quarts low. Forgot to tell you the carpet
was still very wet had two puddles and the amp
was sitting in one of them. The day is Feb 26. 2006 and they have had my car for a total of 70 days so far. WHAT DO I DO??? lol
