I was called at work on 2/16/2012 from American Law Division. They woman on the phone said that they represented a client and I have a payday loan that I never paid back. When I asked them the date of the loan the woman said 2010-2011. Then she told me that I would be arrested. After I wanted more information, they hung up on me. When I got home I had a message on my phone, so I called them back. Again I spoke to a woman who said that I owed a payday loan that was never paid back and again I asked for information on the dates and amount that I had supposidly taken out. I asked why I never recieved any kind of information or paperwork on this loan and she said they sent it by email. She sent me to an Attorney Henry Scott, who told me I could settle right now for $508 or go to court and they would get $6000. I asked again on any information on this loan, and Mr.Scott said that all the paperwork was sent to the state of Connecticut and I would be arrested. When I asked for some information again he then HUNG UP.... I have no idea what to do. I am a single parnt and live pay check to paycheck, but I do pay my bills. They wanted me to give them $508, but refused to give me any dates of this loan and also toldme I was going to be arrested. I have never been arrested for anything and need to find out what exactly I can do about this.
