American Tax Relief ripoff, false promises Beverly Hills California
Already $20,000 in the hole to the IRS, I found I saw an AD on msnbc for American Tax Relief, promising to settle debts to the IRS for pennies on the dollar! I called and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Eli, who told me my case was simple, and they would be able to handle my case simply. So, the first thing they did was charge me $3500, which was paltry in comparison to what owed the IRS. After sending them all my financials, i was called by someone telling me, that since my monthly expenses were less than my income, the only thing they could do is set me up on a payment plan with the IRS. I coulda done that myself! And of course all calls to the person who told me they could solve my case easily, and a supervisor/manager were not returned. The only person I could get on the phone was a receptionist, who told me I had to leave a message to a manager. I should have checked the BBB first, but when I searched for this company on the California BBB website, I found they have an "F" rating, and have 100's of complaints against them!
