American Weapons Components / Ares Armor Kept my money but have never shipped most of ordered items Mesa Arizona
In December 2015, ARES Armor was having an extended Christmas sale on AR-15 rifle kits at a very good price. The sale was extended to midnight 1 January 2016, on which date I ordered a rifle kit, which included the following: 1) Buttstock with dampening; 2) Lower parts kit; 3) Complete upper receiver with a Nickel-Boron BCG upgrade, 16 inch 1-9 twist barrel and MOE hand guard and A-2 flash arrestor; 4) Anodized 80% lower. Also ordered was a jig for machining the 80% lower. The total order cme to approximtely $568.00. The kit and jig were listed as in stock on the company website. It was understood that my credit card would be charged at the time of order so that they could pay their suppliers.
To date I have received the buttstock, lower parts kit, jig and the wrong lower which was returned.
The company has stated that they intended to fulfill all outstanding orders with extras after they make the profit to do so after suffering an enormous loss due to employee theft from their warehouse in Ocenside, California. However, their latest statements are that they will probably never be able to fulfill these orders because their orders are only 10% of what they used to be.
The bottom line is that I have not received the major portion of my order: the upper receiver with BCG; barrel, hand guard and flash arrestor and the 80% lower.
