American World University, Fraudulent activities in Brazil and Angola Los Angeles California
Dear Sir, after reading the Ripoff I am writing to you to denounce the fraudulent activities of the American World University here, in Brazil. Dr. Maxine Asher in 1996 the American World University established herself here in Brazil by means of a Representative which, since the first days he came receiving information from the Ministry of the Education on the illegal activities of the AWU, and that the diplomas issued by the university would not be recognized here, but the representative continued enrolling many sets of ten of students which had never been able to recognize their diplomas in no Brazilian university.
Few years ago Dr. Maxine Asher argued falsely that the representative did fail with payments for her, and Dr. Maxine Asher quickly placed in her web page that the representative one was fraudulent and he has not have more bond with the AWU, and this still written in the www.awu.edu home page. The Brazilian universities already had banished the name of AWU and if they refuse to recognize diplomas for it emitted, alleging that the University does not present the minimum of academic excellence and still sells diplomas randomly.
Now, students, after to wait for two or more years to receive diplomas, they receive them without consular legalization, a time that Brazilian consulates refuse to legalize AWU diplomas, because they say that the University is ghost, that is to say, she does not exist and she is not accredited by no accreditation agency in the United States.
As the American government banished the AWU of the continental territory she goes to establish her in the Marianas Islands and Puerto Rico. The Governor of Puerto Rico also opposes to declare the existence of the university there. Recently Dr. Maxine Asher nominated a representative in Angola, and both are deceiving hundreds of students there. The representative of the AWU in Angola, Isaiah Antonio Manuel Pedro knows very well of the fraudulent activities of the AWU, but he refuses to abandon this dirt work.
When the students sent email to Dr. Maxine Asher complaining that the diplomas and transcripts come without consular legalization she suggests that the student legalizes for themselves, because she is a very busy person, and Brazil is the only country that demands recognition.
Recently some students had asked for the state of Rio de Janeiro Federal University, located in Niteri to recognize their diplomas, but the University refused, alleging that the AWU is not an idoneous institution and she is s diploma miller. This university recommended to the Ministry of the Education to abort the fraudulent activities of the AWU, that already more than has 20 lawsuits against her in the Brazilian justice. I have some documents on this.
