Complaint Review: Apollo Direct - Internet Internet

I went on a job interview and thought this was "The Job" to have. Was totally fed a bunch of BS during the 1st interview and told to come back for a 2nd "interview" to shadow one of the "Sales Managers" named Wes Morgan whom is a washed up former basketball player who almost made it. The closest basketball achievement he received was a medical redshirt season after being hampered by a stress fracture in his right foot. We went to eat in the office building cafeteria and sat with the other applicant to discuss more details about the position of "Sales Director". Was told we have several big time clients and that they were working on major contracts with the Astros, Rockets, Round Rock Express, Live Nation, Corpus Cristie Hooks ect.

They were previously based in Memphis, TN where no one answers the phone listed on the site and I have found other rip off reports about the company. Then I called the parent company http://www.smartcircleinternational.com/ where it was obviously a business office space receptionist in Canada who was Oriental, could not comprehend English and did not know how to get in touch with anyone in upper management or in marketing to complain about their affiliate here in Houston.

What we did was drive to Galveston and illegally solicit businesses door to door in various shopping centers conning people into purchasing discount movie tickets as an incentive for their employees. The pitch started off like this.... Hi my name is Wes Morgan and we are out here today representing Premiere Cinemas, we were voted the best movie theater in town...(they are the only movie theater in Galveston by the way). What we'd like to do today is INVITE YOU and a few of your employee's out to a movie with us as a means to show community and customer appreciation. Here's what we have to offer." Then he pulls out this discount card offering 10 "FREE" movie passes and then the rest is pretty much blown out of the water when he says..." What you get is 10 FREE movie passes a drink and a popcorn. Then you get so many 2 for 1's to give away as gifts...blah blah blah "Will you be paying cash check or credit card, the promotion is $40." That's of course when you get the blank looks and customer withdraws as if the sales person has a facial disorder. He would BS with the people and shoot the s**t and aske when was the last time they been to the movies...how many times do they go a year and he even made a comment that New Moon was still in theaters!!!! OMG We almost got ran out of a grocery store where Wes was trying to sell products in the lunch room to a lady who probably didn't even make $8 a hour. Keep in mind this guy is 7ft2 so he's intimidating and you wouldn't think someone of his size would be running a scam, but I guess that's the beauty of his approach. He did make around $200 but then we were told you only get to keep $10 per sale. And to drive 60 miles for that measly amount of cash is ridiculous. And the killer of the day was when Wes asked me and the other applicant if we were hungry, then pulls up to Taco Cabana and orders some food then steps to the side and expects us unemployed candidates to pay for our own food. The manager of Taco Cabana was confused himself about the situation and offered me some free food whiled I waited two hours for Wes to come back to the car and head to Houston.

I sent them an email saying the following... I should have done my research b4 I wasted my time. No judgement on u Georgia...but tell Wes and Daniel they might want to start researching other office locations outside Houston, maybe in little small country bumpkin towns where people don't have Internet. They don't even know the demographics to be representing any companies in Texas anyway. Hope u have good PR cause I've called several local media outlets, and TMZ already. Oh by the way I'm calling clients and the prospective clients I was told you guys are working on. I am sure they would like to know about this fraudulent marketing scheme.
