Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased my 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage at a car dealership in February of 1999 and that is the day I messed up my credit. I was only given a choice of two cars which were the same except one was a manual and the other and automatic. I chose the automatic. I was 20 at the time and had very good credit.

I was told I needed to get my dad to co-sign with me, which he did not want to do but did so anyway because the dealer informed us he could be removed from the contract after 6 months. I was also told I did not have to pay for the month of February and payments would start in March. That worked out for me b/c I used all my money for the down payment and did not get paid until the end of March. WELL, come March 1st I had received a bill for February!! That should have been my cue to go ahead and turn the car back in.

After purchasing that car I've had nothing but trouble. I lost my job and when I informed Arcadia, they let me miss one month and after that told me to pay them the regular $251.48 and when I could not, they harrassed me, my sisters, my aunt, friends, neighbors, and my parents DEMANDING I pay them. I am finally getting on my feet again with another job and my boss has already gotten telephone calls from Arcadia wanting her address.

The car I have is garbage anyway. A police officer told me when he was trying to unlock my door, it looks like the car had been broken into, the door light stayed on until I put masking tape over the doors (3 of them), there is a small hole on the floor in the back behind the drivers seat. I had to get a new transmission, a new back bumper because I was in an accident. And the accident I had was b/c something is wrong with the gas pedal and I could not get out of the road soon enough.

For anyone who is trying to get a car and you are told you could only get financing thru Arcadia...go ELSEWHERE!!

Did I mention I owe about $7,000 on a $10,000 car the is only worth about $4,000 if that? Oh yeah, it's been about 3 years since the tape player worked....

the managment is the biggest problem, they are racist, often given blacks and minorities higher interest rates and they never follow company policy

I am an exemployee of Arcadia as well. And the managment is the biggest problem Dalisa. Arcadia sucks. They are racist, often given blacks and minorities higher interest rates. They never follow company policy for aproving loans in the first place- leading to alot of the situations that have taken place on this sight. I know for a fact- Dalisa is wrong, and probably behind on her own car note right now. Arcadia has lost alot of decent employees because their demeanor is not just subject to their customers. I have witnessed them aprove loans for people who clearly have debt to income issues. But because they are concerned with their monthly numbers, they book the deals anyway and let the customer deal with the rediculous rates later. I've seen it happen a million times. You people should stop your griping and get up and sue their asses.

Not everyone who uses Transsouth has bad credit. I used them because I had *no* credit. They called me a ghost. And I not only made my payments on time, but ahead of time. I sent three payments before my first payment came do. I did this to establish credit and had every intention of paying the loan off early. I ended up paying an extreme amount of interest for a 4 year loan that was paid off in under two years, and when I did pay it off, they were extremely rude to me and lied to me about my title. It took them nearly a month to my title to me, and in the meantime, I could not get my car registered and titled in my new state. They are crooks, pure and simple. You don't have to be late with payments or have bad credit. You simply have to have a loan with them for them to treat you horribly.

Arcadia is a RIP OFF

I have read the responses and can only agree to everything that was written. I too, have been harrassed, talked to as if I was nothing. They even went as far as calling my neighbor (whom I am not familar with), my parents have been called on several occassions. I have also complained about how rudely they talk on the phone, was even told to borrow by any means necessary, now you tell me what kind of company makes these types of suggestions. Yes, you are right Dalisa, I did have problems with my credit due to unforseen circumstances, but that does not warrant anyone to be downgraded. You say you "previously" worked at Arcadia as a Manager, then you were probably one of the managers that were never available. I work as a customer service representative for a large well-known company, and I can tell you this, the behavior that the employees at Arcadia exhibit would not be tolerated. I am so nervous and afraid my vehicle will be repocessed that every moment I find myself looking out of the window, trying to buy a little more time, nor do I answer the phone, and it seems to ring constantly. I tell my friends if they are planning on purchasing a car, make sure they DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH ARCADIA!

RE: DALISA LIES!!

First of all, let me say that Dalisa does LIE and I have never in my life been treated so harshly by someone on the other end of the phone. I have a loan through Arcadia (that will be paid off by the end of this week) and I have never been harrassed so much. These so called "collectors" (to quote Dalisa) are nothing more than telophone bullies!! I as well am in an important position in customer service for a much larger company than Arcadia. And I'm hear to tell you, if I was to behave the way these people do, I would be fired no questions asked. I was actually on the phone with the wonderful cheerful people right after I got home this evening. The woman on the other end of the phone told me that I needed to pay her money or she would report me to the credit bureau and reposses my vehicle. Now that's kind of ironic considering I made a payment only three days ago. She wanted to continually argue with me on the phone and get even louder until I finally hung up on her. Oh yeah, I got her name, which I'm sure is fake, because I called back about five minutes later to complain about her and was told that a manager wasn't available. This is the second time this has happened to me and unfortunately for them, it won't happen again. I know the times when these people call me and I will not, under no circumstance answer my phone. Arcadia will continue to get payments from me but no more phone harrassment. Oh yeah, I also found out, from an Arcadia employee that they have contracted a call center in India, yeah that's right, you heard it, the country of India. No wonder their customer service is so horrible. They are using people in a third world country who don't know our country, language, culture or daily lifestyle to continually call and harrass us. I also love the wonderful uses of the english language these "creditors" use when calling. The use of "ebonics" and "hip slang" doesn't impress me at all. All this tells me is that you can't get employees that have above an 8th grade education to work for your company. Oh yeah, by the way, I do not (or have any friends) that speak that way, so I know when you call. I guess I'm just dissapointed that a "financial" company would go to such great lengths to make so many people misserable. I'd rather do business with a loan shark. I do feel sorry for the people that still have loans with these people. All I can say is good luck.

Dalisa lies! Arcadia abuses customers

Dalisa an X Manager of Arcadia lies. I have had an account with Arcadia for awhile now. Sometimes current sometimes not. However, it is always paid. I was misinformed about the type of loan I had from the get go. Also, if I am even one day late I will get a letter saying i have refused to responsed. I am in constant contact with this company regarding my account and always answer my phone. I have been threatened and verbally abused by this company. Several times this company has broken the code violations on there tactics. I had complained to several managers about this. I always got an apalogy but they keep doing it. I dont want to comment on what was said because at this point I may have a law suite. I continue to pay in good faith but this company I beleive should be out of business. I keep a log of all the calls and names now. I am not the only one. I know others who have good credit and were only late and were harrassed. I also beieve they may be mishandling of monies on my loan. Believe me it will all be figured out.

Arcadia Financial is not a RipOFF

I previously worked for Arcadia Financial as a Manager and could not believe the responses and out right lies from the customers whom had or has a auto loan financed with Arcadia. First of all if you did not have bad credit in the past you would not have to use Arcadia as a financing source. Secondly, if you customers pay as agreed my collectors would not call you or if you made proper arrangements and kept them the collectors would not call you. These are trained professionals who going through extensive fair debt collection classes. Arcadia does not adhere to improper handling or abuse to the customer. Arcadia has given the customer to reestablish there credit and most customers do pay however end any industry there are going to be customers are not going to pay. Arcadia understands when customers have a hard time maintaining there payments however if the car breaks down it is not Arcadia's fault if "Mr or Mrs Customer chose not to add an warranty on a Used Vehicle!!! Arcadia is only the Financing source. It is up to the consumer to make a sound decision when purchasing a vehicle they probably cannot afford in the first place. I am no longer employed with Arcadia but I worked there for over 3 years and no what the customers are saying are not true!!!
