Ashley Moving And Storage ripoff, robbed screwed and lied to with a smile. Katy Texas
My wife an I were moving back from California to Minnesota. I used the internet to obtain a number of bids for the move. Ashley was not the cheapest but sounded the best over the phone.
We emailed back and forth along with a contract to move our household goods. The total price was $3950.00 dollars of which I sent him $3200.00 in good faith.
On the day Ashley was to pickup our households good they never showed. Several days and phone calls later I new I was dealing with a crook and had to hire United Vane lines to move our household good.
I filed a complaint with the Federal Goverment which did nothing. I filed a complaint with the BBB which did nothing. I filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney Generals Office. They opened a case against Gary Schwartz the Owner of Ashley Moving and Storage. This looked very promising.
In the offical response from the Attorney Generals office I received a form the sent to Gary Schwartz, who stated he would put a check in the mail for $3200.00. I sent my original check to Gary on 2/05/2002 and I am still waiing for the check.
