1) You say your left knee bothered you a little from mountain biking, and you want to have it looked at... that is PRE EXISTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2) I'm looking on Assurant's Website and NOPE! They don't sell a single HMO plan. 3) Co-insurance is something in every single Health Insurance Policy. It's a scam if you decide to make it a scam... You choose 50/50 you got 50/50. Maybe your Agent should have told you that or he "miss-lead" you. Not assurant's fault. It's the Agents fault. 4) I wreck my car, the transmission starts sticking... I buy insurance because I want to get my transmission looked at.... I get the insurance without telling them my transmission sticks. I file a claim with my car insurance company to have my transmission fixed. See how it doesn't work????? 5) Assurant Health never knew about your knee either you didn't tell your agent, or your agent didn't tell Assurant, because there would have been a counter offer. Even if Assurant Health knew about your knee they still wouldn't have paid for it. 6) I would assume you are a very passionate person and care for your clients. I assume this because; you hang a sign in your business slandering Assurants name, warning them of the dangers of the evil Co-insurance monster. So please give your clients what is best for them and learn to spell.

1. When we reviewed assurant with thier agent I explaiend that I am in great health generaly for a 45 year old, non smoke, works out regurly, but would like to have a plan that allowed me to go to whoever I want. Not an HMO. I also noted that every once in while my left knee bothered me a little and I would like to have it looked at. I mountian bike and still do to date without any repairs. Once I went to the doctor and was sent through a MRI scan I was told I needed a small maniscus tier repaired. I was never diagnosed before that time, nor did I know what a Minicus was till then. Assurant called this "Pre-Existing". 2. The Co-Insurance clause is a scam, unless someone explains what is is. I never did recieve a policy from Ackerman or Assurant. I have paid all the bills and have a sign hanging in my bussiness stating "Never Trust Assurant"

I wanted to know "what" is the pre-existing denial" what pre-existing condition did they say you had ? Did you have issues before with this probelm then decide to get insurance to pay for it? Or did you have a full and 100% clean bill of health then the insurance company just houdini you up some kind of health condition that way to not pay a bill on? from your comment ""Obtaining a different providers policy or just lived with the pain and discomfort, as well as not cut a check every month to Assurant Healthcare"" would have one assume that you had some sort of issue before hand and got insurance under the idea that Assurant would pay for it. I dont work for assurant. and maybe the Insurance Agent just promised the world to you and you thought you would have your pervious "pain and discomfort" handled by them. Even so Assurant health has a system called a (counter-offer) one that you would have to accept in order for your plan to be issued. the counter would require you signing your calling assurant and saying yes you understand the changes to the policy. If you didnt get one of these counter offers then your "pre-exisiting Pain and Discomforts" werent disclosed by either you or or agent..... overall if you wreck your car (or body in this case) dont switch insurance's and expect them to pay your claim for you.....
