Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I own a small audio / video installation business in Arizona.  A couple years ago we were approached by a rep from ATT Advertising solutions, offering marketing through YP.com.   Initially we were skeptical as always because so many advertising places approach us promising the world but with too much investment up front and no guaranteed results.   This guy came to our shop and sat down and showed us the program, which offered top placement in YP.com's listing, our company logo and link to our website, and all of the perks of being listed in a highly ranked website such as YP.Com

Let me note at that before he approached us, I had a free ad up on YP.com, which rarely got any traffic. We decided to wait on the ad because we were already dealing with another SEO company (which is another ripoff report btw).

A week or so after our meeting he called and said they had a special short time deal that would lock us in for a monthly rate of $210 for this service.    At this point it seemed worth it to try it out, so we agreed.   We submitted all of our information to them and a copy of our company logo to update the listing.   This was just about the last time we spoke with this rep to date.

After about a week the ad went live, first off with the incorrect information, some of the description of our business was incorrect, one phone number was wrong, they didn't even use our logo and without our consent they made up one for us that is not even close to our company logo.  Worst of all the listing was no better ranked than the free one I had created a year prior.   A search in our city under either category (Car Audio  and Home Theater Sales and Service) would get us results no better than page 3-4,  After trying to get in contact with our rep for weeks, we finally got some response directly from ATT Advertising solutions via email, promising to correct the issues.   They really started to drag their feet at this point, it took weeks just to correct the phone number and incorrect information, the logo was never fixed, and the ranking was never improved.   We were promised page 1 results in YP in our area, this never happened once.   We refused to pay for their services because they never provided what they said they would, and they in turn would not let us out of our agreement TO WHICH THEY NEVER HELD UP THEIR END!!

Over the course of about 6-7 months, no one ever made an effort to make the listing correct, but they didn't hesitate to ask for their money.  This finally went to collections, and to this day they are threatening and trying to collect money for services they NEVER provided.   The collection agencys threaten legal action, which I will welcome with open arms because they have a losing case on their hands.   We are about to engage in some legal action of our own to get the collectors off our back.   They are trying to collecto for 1+ years worth of monthly fees plus late fees.   They breached their own contract, in no way did it say 'you must pay us even if we don't do anything for you'  lol.

Let me also add that we did not get one single customer or sale from their horrible listing.   Our own FREE Google places ad totally was kicking butt, all of the free stuff we did over the years did much better than the supposed 'paid for' advertising.

I see this company has now been sold off, so hopefully they can actually start treating their customers right, but in our case this is an ongoing battle that I feel will eventually wind up in a court room.   Word to the wise, if you get approached by ATT Advertising solutions, stay far away.  BTW after doing some research it seems they are associated with the SEO company we were dealing with, which is also another ripoff b.s. scheme.   All we wanted to do was improve our visibility to customers.   Seems like finding an honest and reputable company to do this is next to impossible.
