Purchased 1991 BMW 850i from Keith Anderson, owner of Auto Acquisitions in August of 2002. Car advertised with Tan/Beige interior color, interior color is silver as ran by VIN number at BMW dealer, did not want silver. Car advertised with gorgeous black metallic paint in "excellent condition and free of damage". Car is total repaint with fisheyes, overspray, and paint runs.

Advertised with no accident history and free of rust. Car has complete underbody rust and corrosion throughout and has been in accidents on both sides. Car also has two severely bent wheels. Advertised as completely inspected and all mechanical components working properly. Took car to authorized BMW repair facility and master technician said car needs $8000.00 worth of repairs.

Horn does not work, check engine light on, needs intake manifold gasket replacement, severe oil leak, transmission leak, needs both oxygen sensors replaced, both left and right rocker panels not reattached after hasty repaint, both air filters clogged, drivers power seat broken.

Advertised with with "gorgeous leather interior", leather is worn through and dry and cracked. Advertised with "spotless headliner". Headliner damaged.

Advertised with Dual Airbags, has only driver's side airbag. Advertised with "remote keyless entry". Never received remote key.

Filed Ebay complaint and Keith Anderson ignored that. Filed claim with BBB of Illinois, Keith Anderson did not respond to them or me. Had my attorney try to contact him and Keith Anderson ignored him. Went to consumer affairs and Keith Anderson ignored them. Went to Illinois Attorney General and Keith Anderson is ignoring them.

Emailed Keith Anderson with concerns on this auto right after delivery and he emailed me back once saying he was ill and would resolve problems with car with me, never returned any of my future phone calls or emails, has since changed addresses, company name, and email info.

Paid $16099.00 for this car plus $890.00 shipping fees expecting car that was as advertised and represented by Keith Anderson and Auto Acquisitions, instead got a piece of junk worth about half of what I paid that needs almost $10000.00 worth of repairs.

He will not respond to me or anyone of any entity trying to resolve this issue. He is extremely dishonest and knows I am in California and he is in Illinois, and believes he will never have to make good on his false representations concerning this car.

It is a pity their seems to be no recourse for an honest person, who has given hard earned money in good faith, to a business person with no scruples or ethics that gets to keep the money under false pretenses.

My wife and I would be completely and utterly amazed if Keith Anderson would ever make restitution concerning this matter in the future.

Auto Acquisitions finally could not ignore the request from the Illinois Attorney General's office

Auto Acquisitions finally could not ignore the request from the Illinois Attorney General's office concerning this matter after Consumer Affairs, The BBB, Ebay complaint department, and my attorney failed to get their attention. As usual, they are claiming no responsibility for their actions and are trying to pass the buck onto the party they were hired by to market and sell their car. What is interesting is that their attorney stated they only marketed the car based on the information the owner gave them and had no contact with the car. Unfortunately for them though, right in their ebay ad, they claim to have had Auto Acquisitions personally service, inspect, and safety check the entire car before putting it up for sale, and assured all was well with this car, so they obviously did see the car and made up the fraudulent ebay ad to relieve unsuspecting buyers of more of their cash by misrepresenting the condition of the car. So their high priced attorney put his foot right in their mouths. In the last year I have spent $4,400.00 just to keep this car on the road so I could drive it safely and it needs another $5,500.00 to bring it up to the condition it was advertised to be in. Thanks for listening. I will update you with any progress.
