Aviation Institute of Maintenance A.I.M. Save your money for a real school, not a pyramid money scheme type of school! Houston Texas
I'm basically writing this for future students or people thinking of going to this Pyramid Scheme.. I've been a student at this school in Houston, Texas.. I'm almost done with the course and I must say that if it wasn't for the 4.99 app I bought for my own teaching and education purposes, I don't know if I would have passed most of my classes. They are about the money and not your education, there is no communication between the front office and the teachers.. There is a lack of teachers for night class, therefore making the teachers they do have work double shifts.. The teachers would be fine if they had teaching degrees n not retired A&P mechanics that have no knowledge on how to teach or any update on new technology for the aviation field.. The complaint forms don't help and was proven in my last class. Different students filed complaints and nothing was done, from the teacher trying to fight the student to cursing students and throwing racial slurs.. Complaint by 5 plus students and nothing was done!! All that was done by the office was tell the teacher exactly who complaint and what was on the complaint forms.. Very unprofessional and very sad!! The schools tools are 3 of 10, The teachers are 4/5 of 10, front office is a 2 of 10 since they're only good when they need to charge more money or drop u out of class n charge u again instead of working with the students they set them up to fail!! Things we work on are never in functioning order and are old and abused trashy engines, nothing like the commercial or ads or brochures! At night they don't want the AC on therefore making us sweat.. Never thought after spending all this money I would get treated like a slave!! Front office never has answers that u need of fasfa or payments and where is money going, they always give you the to around, just a very very shady place for an education.. all I see is a money pit, as far as teachers go its pitiful and should be ashamed of themselves for ripping students that actually are trying to arrange their lives for success! These are the type of schools that will back you up in life and laugh at you!! They treat you like a kid in middle school not like an adult in a College environment.. Once again hire real teachers that can teach not just BS around n tell you their past stories from work.. Quit hiring retirees that don't care about the up and coming class for A&P Mechanics!! Just a sad sad very sad school to go too.. Very unprofessionally ran and nothing has changed while I been there, a student doesn't have an opinion, either suck it up or quit.. You still owe them money, so they'll be glad you quit! One more thing they never help you find jobs or leads because they're so lazy to even do their jobs.. A bunch of clock riders is all I see, once again VERY SAD!!!

This place should be investigated. They lie about the promises of careers that await after graduation. I've seen people come back year after year, still trying to receive their A&P licenses. Not to mention the rampant drug use. I recall an instructor observing us women that are in the class and said that we should be "playing with dolls". Very unprofessional. I walked away after a couple of months.
