During the time mentioned by this person with a problematic Road King, I was hospitalized. I missed an entire year of work in 2004 being treated for leukemia. I do not know who tried to handle this problem while I was away. This is the first I've heard about it. Even though it was two years ago, I welcome the customer to call myself or my brother Curt anytime. We will try to make it right even now. These are easy machines to fix and we have trucks to pick bikes up anywhere. There are no 125" engines that I know about, so I'm not sure how this bike was modified. But if it needs an aftermarket starter to turn over a big engine, I will provide it. Mark Barnett 800-736-8173

Sorry to hear of your problem. I bought an 2002 FLSTF from Barnett HD in El Paso also. I made this purchase online...I was told by the salesman ( Jonny Malone )That the bike was in great shape and there was NO RUST WHATSOEVER. I asked twice about there being any rust on this bike because I live on the coast in N. Cal , and everything rusts here. He assured me that there was no rust. The bike was shipped to my front door by Oak Harbor....I finally get the crate open and the first thing I look at are the pipes and the underside of the bike...Guess what? RUST! and lot's of it.I got online right away and went to the BBB website and I filed a complaint with the BBB office in El Paso. 9 day's after filing this complaint, Mark Barnett calls me and asks what he can do to make this right...He was willing to refund all $$$, or give me a different bike. He gave me the #'s of some bikes he had on his web site to checkout, but I didn't like any of them. He then said " Hell, It would be easier for me to just give you an '03 model" so I checked out the bike online, and agreed to the swap...Provoded the bike was in exellent shape with NO RUST! Mark Barnett had a friend of his drive this new bike to my home from El Paso ( about 4,800 miles round trip )and pick up the other bike. The new bike was just as Mark said, great shape and NO RUST.Mark even threw in an extra year on the exteneded warranty for my troubles. Barnett Harley did the right thing, and I would buy from them again. I suggest you file a complaint with the BBB, Or...just give Mark Barnett a call and see if you can work it out. Good luck.
