I was contacted by Victor McNeil, Senior Loan Consultant for Bell Blue Monetary Services about extending me a $5000 loan.  My credit is porr post-divorce and was happy for a chance to improve my score.  I checked their website (very professional), verified their phone number and physical address, and spoke to him on the phone on several occasions.  I am not a naive person, but the loan documents he sent me were also quite professional and I had no reason to question it.  He wanted 3 months payment prior to the loan, after receipt of my loan documents.  I verified that I would be transferring funds to an account and not a private individual.  I thought I had done my homework, but I did one more thing: checked the PA and national banking registry for their license, which I could not find.  I spoke to someone at the PA state licensing bureau and Bell Blue does not exist and determined the bureau determined that they are scammers.  I called Mr McNeil and told him if he could email his license number I would forward him the $450 to "secure the loan".  He stated that another department handles that and he would send it to me.  Nothing yet, of course.  A Google search of a name "Ben Vernes, NY, NY" from one of their testimonals, showed that he and 3 other testimonails had been copied onto all of the compnay websites listed on this report.  THESE COMPANIES WILL TAKE YOUR $$... I am desperate, and may visit Jimmy Knuckles in the city, but if you are in that position, you CANNOT AFFORD to lose your money to them.  Please don't, I hope this helps someone who is in my position.  As much as you don't want to hear it, non-scammers will not loan you $ with poor credit and no collateral, unless it is a payday loan.  Charging fees of more than 0.5% of a non-mortgage loan is illegal in PA and probably anywhere else.  They also must be licensed.
