Bellavista Scott Hotel OWNER OF THIS HOTEL REFUSES TO FIX ANYTHING Internet
We stayed at this hotel last year. It was not a good experience. The bed was rock hard, the furniture semi-soiled and smelly, and the maid service awful. They sloshed dirty water around from a bucket with a primitive old mop and actually used a broom and dust pan to clean the tile floors. The floors are white and you could see alot of raunchy dirt and hairs from previous tourists. Guess the owners are too cheap to buy modern cleaning equipment.The hot water ran out in around five minutes, and it never got really hot, just lukewarm. The A/C unit was clogged and inadequate and we had water on the floor. When we complained to the person at the desk, nothing was done. The walkways and area behind the hotel had beer cans, bottles, trash, etc. It is close to the cruise ship dock so the constant blast of the ship horns was a real drag. Also, we walked up the hill that leads to the hotel and there were men doing drugs lurking in the small copse of trees and bushes near the hotel. Gunshots went off every night nearby because the hotel is in a bad area situated near a federal housing project. I would recommend you avoid the place; we thought that it was overpriced all things considered. It's worth paying more to stay farther away from that creepy area the hotel is situated in. The police came a few times to the parking lot and we had no idea why. We did not feel safe. It looks pretty on the internet site because you can't see the adjacent neigborhood!
