Beneficial Corporation (Tara "TJ" Harris) rip-off! This loan officer bounced me around for three weeks; only to find out that I did not get loan. Very unprofessional and racist she was! Bozeman Montana
In the second week of June, I applied to get a loan to finish a home my husband and I are building. I explained to the Loans officer Tara "T.J" Harris that the home was not completed. I stated that we needed a specific sum to pay off another mortgage company and to complete the balance of the home.
She assured me that we were pre-approved after we had sent in all required documents. She stated that all that was needed was for an appraiser to come out and take a look. She took a long time in arranging the appontment; and did not even have the courtesy to give us the people's name or day that they were coming.
Finally on the afternoon of Wednesday 7th July, 2004 we got a call from a lady stating that she was secretary to the appraisers who were coming out to the property. She asked to describe my husband so that they would be able to recognize him as they were to meet on the main street of town. I told the woman that my husband was part Native American and tall and that he would not be hard to miss.
Well the next day my husband took off from work and waited for nearly two hours before calling me to try and fing out why the people did not show. I called the appraisers office only to be told that Beneficial cancelled the appointment the same afternoon after I described my husband to the woman. I called Beneficial and they came up with some lame excuse that there was a computer glich and that the computer cancelled the appointment.
As of today the young lady in question T.J Harris has not apologized for wasting our time these past three weeks. I called her yesterday to find out what was going on; she then stated that the loan could not be done. Why on earth she did not say that in the beginning; we have wasted time and money and could have gone elsewhere. She was not very professional and just jerked us around. I think she should be fired !!!!!
