I was a cashier/customer service rep for Best Buy and they *almost* always keep their records, paper records, of all returns and exchanges on file. So I would probably bet that they have your paperwork somewhere. It's weird that you didn't recieve a copy of your receipt or anything, but I'm not going to say I was surprised. Also, if you go to the customer service desk, they can usually look up your account activity. I don't know if you paid with you BB credit card, but if you did, they will have the return right there on their computer and up to two year's worth of activity.
