In nov. of 1999 i had a hard drive go out on my computer, and because of the best buy charge card i had at the time, i purchased a new hard drive from the best buy store, and was to have it installed for 60.00 plus the hard drive cost...... after leaving my CPU there for over a month, i still had heard nothing about the computer, if it was fixed or not, so as concerned as i am, i called and done a "check up" to see how things were going, needless to say, they said it was being worked on, but they almost have it fixed.

from what i understand about hard drives, they arent really to hard to put in, but regardless, i still waited, the following friday i believe i got a call from the best buy store and they said it was ready to go, so as happy as i am, after a month of being in the shop, i went to pick up my comp. , and i asked the gentleman if he could hook it up on there test equipment , to verify that it did work properly.

after a little bit of studdering, i got i "well sure"... after hooking it up, the comp. was not fixed, and did not boot up, the gentleman, ACTED confused, he said they will need to keep the comp. a little bit longer, he said he thinks the problem is that it needs what is called an I/O card, so i agreed and went to the back of the stroe and purchased one, gave it to the man, and he said he would call in a few days, well the call never came, ...

i waited and waited, as "proudly" as best buy represnts there name, you would think that they could put a hard drive in a comp. , but needless to say they couldnt, because i got a call after a month and a half, that it wasnt fixable, for cryin out loud, its just a d**n hard drive!!!!!!!!,

i went to pick up the computer, and took it to another company in evansvillr called "computers plus" and they had it fixed in 3 days, all that they done to fix the problem, was rub down the "reboot" cd with alcohol, and install the hard drive.

After being so patient with the computer, i was stupid enough to buy a radio from best buy, it was a cd player for my truck, the radio that was factory had a 6 disc cd changer, with the factory deck, but i intendid to install two woofers, amp, and a good deck, all that i had purchased from best buy, but after having the deck installed, i put in the woofers buy myself, a month down the road i planned on selling my truck, and "best buys" logo, is that if u buy a stereo from them, and they install it,

if u sell ur car, or trade it in, they will reinstall your factory deck for free.. and that was the option that i had chosen, after waiting for 30 minutes for them to switch out the radios, the gentleman, said it was done, he gave me my keys, and told me where he parked it.

after getting in my truck, and turning on the radio , there was no sound, and no cd player...... so i went back in and told the "jerk" who was behind the counter, and he had the guts enough to tell me that , it wasnt the factory deck, and there isnt any hook ups on it for the cd changer, how rediculous is that??????so after burning up my factroy deck, not beiong able to reinstall a cd changer , and the whole computer thing.

i have come to realize that these people are "crooks" and to top it all off, they cant even get there " credit card "service right, i signed up for a best buy credit card.... and used it the first day, to purchase the stereo, and woofers, butt the second day i went back to buy an amp, and they told me their was a problem with my "best buy" card...... so i had to call 20 different offices it seemed like, after calling all these numbers i finally got to customer service and she told my the problem, my social security number was under someone elses name...... how in the hell could that be??..... after talking with the lady, she told me the persons name, and the social number, and the name i did recognize it was my step dads', and the social was mine.

now how they got the two things mixed up, other than the fact that we have the same address and phone number i coouldnt tell you, in my honest opinion i think """GE CARD SERVICES" suck and "BEST BUY IS A JOKE".... i strongly suggest that everyone stay away from there, as i refuse to walk another foot inside thier door!

This company has now sold me two different products and both broke within a week and a half of purchase. When approaching Best Buy there only responce has been either call the manufacture or talk to our technition now as time goes by there return policy forced both of them to go over by one and three days. Most of the thirty days was spent trying to make the original purchase work. Sounds like I am stretching the truth but these are the exact happenings. The products were a freezer sealer that burned holes in my Best Buy 16.00 bags, a dvd player that would not realese my discs and a sirius radio that could not pick up any signal. I will admit they did exchange my dvd player, but they did not have that model so the next closest in price was 60.00 more and my disc I bought there would not come out, THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO GET IT OUT. If they even were human about it it might make a difference- cold as security guards- class a smucks. My fault for going back, I guess.
