I would be interested to know exactly what the problem with your computer was, since this most certianly has an impact on how, where, or to what extent the Best Buy Service center was able to assist you. I currently am employed by a Best Buy in Maine and I would like to know if the PSP's I sell or for real or if my company is attempting to rip off the consumer. Thank you.

RODNEY SHERROD,, From what I understand of your encounter with Bestbuy I think that you can and should file charges of fraud against them. They offered services and did Knowingly didnt/ wouldnt render them and sold you a service knowing that they would never do it,, thats FRAUD and that's a crime. Contact your local DA and see about filing charges,, also you can probably make some money in the process by selling your story to Dateline or Nightline or one of those news shows,, somebody needs to take a stand and stop these people from ripping people off,, thank goodness for the power of the RIPOFFREPORT.COM I have a story and have to wait until some certain things are taken care of,, but the story will amaze you and the gull of Bestbuy will blow your mind. Did you see the other story where Bestbuy customer was told to shut up by employees when asked for personal advice by another customer about a TV? Its against the law to talk to customer in there stores?? I going to send a link to this page to 48 Hours and my guesses are they will be contacting you because you have a very real complaint that they are being deceitful and knowingly ripping people off. AND ITS OUTRAGEOUS TOO But I tell ya they messed with the wrong person, I have loads of free time and will be the thorn in there side from this day forward... they think that one person cant do anything.. Well their going to find out. Oh and also I'm going to send a copy of your story to Readers Digest,, (they have something in the magazine called Thats Outrageous and they have Billions of readers. Maybe you can think of me if they decide to buy your story since I'm disabled and have little funds. Special of the day,, a 2 year warranty for the price of 3,, thats outrageous ...haaaa h*o ooo OH JoY

All my dealings at Best Buy have been good. If you read the plan ist states it doesnt cover what is covered under the manufactur. And if you have to send in your reciept, they usually give you a rebate copy, or you can ask for a copy of the orignal at the check out. If you dont like Best But, their is always Sears.

Your Laptop should have been sent to the service center. We do have to send Sony Products to them the first year but the service center will take care of that for you. I recommend that you find another Best Buy store that is near you and give them a try. I apologize for your troubles. This should never have happened. You should also call the customer care line at 888-BESTBUY.

I bought a refrigerator at Best Buy and it had a $50.00 mail in rebate (if I purchased the icemaker with my refrigerator). I was told that I just needed to mail my receipt showing my purchase and a check would be mailed to me. I did as I was told and sent in the receipt. But I never received my money. When I called them up they could not find me in the computer and said that I need to show my original receipt to them in order for them to persue this. I mailed in my receipt so of course I could not provide this to them. I was told that there was nothing they could do then and so I am out $50.00. My experience at this store will be remembered, and I refuse to even drive through their parking lot.
