I went in to look at the Subaru Impreza WRX they had for sale. I walked in, the guy didn't welcome me. I asked to see the car. He took 5 minutes before they found the key and went out. The women let me test drive the car. She was nice. The car had a few minor problems. Before we could talk a price, they kept asking for cash or financing. I didn't even know because we hadn't talked a price. I would have paid cash if it was low enough. I have never done financing. He kept asking questions: "financing or cash?" "what bank?" "do they accept 2004 cars?" All before the price was discussed. I had the car fax, and the blue book printed out in my hand. I told him the price was high. I had their ad printed out also. They had it post for around 7,600 a few days ago. I had that price printed. It was then changed to around 7,995 a few days later. He then tried to say it was a WRX. They go for 40 grand. It was a 2004. Not a 2016. It wasn't even the STI model. I asked why the price changed. The women told me it was a special. She was not rude about it. He took my papers, and said "Ohh this is old old old price " I told him we're going to have to start with $5000 because the blue book value wasn't any where near 8 grand. Retail was 6 grand. Fair value 5,560 - 6,500. And the car's paint and wheels were peeling. The trunk didn't open. The driver door latch was unscrewed, so the door ajar light stayed on. He then told me that he wasn't running a charity. Said it was his car. Then took my papers. I proceed to tell him have a good day, and the women thanks for letting me test drive. My father who was with me got mad, snatched the papers back from the guy, that I had printed myself. He got mad at my dad, started calling him names as we were walking out, and kept provoking him, calling my dad an a-hole, and idiot, that he "needs to behave" I thought we would have had to bail my dad out. I didn't want the car after. Save yourself the trouble. The lot is also very small. You can hardly get in there. No wonder. I feel sorry for the cars. I wasted my time. Don't do the same.
