Better Off Healthy selling emergency allert system, claimed my doctor told them to contact me
I received an automated call which said my physician had told them to contact me as a senior citizen to sell me a medical alert system. I pressed a button to talk to a representative who read a long sales pitch. When she finished I asked how they had gotten my contact information. She claimed a huge network of doctors recommended them. I asked many times where they had gotten my contact information. She made a lot of suggestions where they had gotten the information but could not tell me. Every time I told her that their recording said my doctor had told them to contact me, she repeated that their network of doctors recommended them, but denied that my doctor had given them any contact information because that would be illegal. When I said I didn't want to do business with a company that lied to me, she got very sarcastic and told me repeatedly to have a nice day.
