Beware of an internet predator who poses as someone wanting to buy an item and willing to pay over the normal cost. They will tell you it is for your inconvenience that they are giving you so much money. They send a very large check to you. This check even looks legit to the bank, however it is not!! They ask you to wire them money or send cash to various locations.
This is an operation that originates in Nigeria and they have people all over the world working for them. They will send you the fake check and begin to harrass you. Threaten to kill you and your family, they do not speak very good English. The person who was supposedly from London, then Holland, was of Asian descent and sounded gang related.
Check with your State Police about this and look on the internet a lot of people have been intimidated and sent the cash. They are then out at least five thousand dollars! The cashier check is FAKE!! Do not accept any emails from this person! Also the cashier check is drawn from a bank that does not exist! It is People's Community Credit Union, Vancouver, WA.
If someone offers to pay you a thousand dollars over the retail price of an item, you know it is too good to be true! Plus we do not have jurisdiction in Nigeria, so we can't prosecute these theives!!! Please beware!
