Night Watchman
Creve Coeur,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Fri, November 09, 2012
This description of Jeremy sounds just like Joe Nelson of the Saint Louis office. He loves to brag about everything from allegedly being an All American Lacrosse player in college, to how much money he spends. He regularly lies to employees and clients alike, has unprofessional habits, doesn't follow the pay structure, and acts inappropriately with female employees.
1.) Lying- he lies during the interview process. There's enough about that in all the other posts. He also tells employees and customers alike that one of the benefits of AT&T U-Verse is that they don't do contracts. Funny, his second in command just signed up for Charter because she "didn't want to get locked into a one year contract" with U-Verse. Neither of them ever told us about the contract (they told us there wasn't one), so we unintentionally lied to customers. The duped leading the duped.
2.) Unprofessional habits- There are so many, I'll just list them. Talking about politics, religion, and money in the office (more in 2.1); regularly threatening jobs, then asking why his employees are looking elsewhere for employment/ not dedicated to blackstone; swearing in the office, but chastising others who swear (even fining them and keeping the money); talking negatively about employees behind their backs; making people chauffeur an under-qualified 18 year old employee with no car around; the list goes on and on.
2.1) He regularly talks about God and being a Christian, which is bizarre considering that he scams people for his own financial gain. Whatever. He talks constantly about politics in the office, and even has made racist remarks about "lazy Saint Louis blacks" while at social events. He makes employees turn in reports of how much money they spend, then makes jokes about how little money they have. He tells them how to manage money so they can be rich like him, although he has said before he still has debt. He tells them they don't make enough to have bad habits like drinking. He also expects them to show up to the weekly company social at a bar. Other times, he will text saying asking you to go out or "Come drink and play video games."
3.) Pay structure lies- In the new hire paper, it clearly states that there is a $250 draw to protect new employees from not making any money on the 100% commission pay structure. This is a lie; he has never paid a draw of more than $100. The new hire papers also say that, because paychecks are delayed two weeks, you are still entitled to receive payment after you are finished working. This is a lie too. Several of us quit two weeks ago and are yet to receive a paycheck (any of us). He has said things like "all three of your sales from that week got canceled." Not to mention that the average rep makes way less than he claims during interviews.
4.) Inappropriate conduct with female employees- This might be the most disgusting. He has a romantic (sexual) relationship with one of his direct employees. Beyond that, he regularly flirts and makes unwelcome physical contact with most female employees while at socials. This includes invading personal space (for example backing them into a corner while talking to them), touching on the arm, and even butt grabbing. I have limited photographic evidence of his behavior due to his employees' photo uploads on Facebook. I'm choosing not to upload it out of pity for the female employee, who is mostly innocent.
I don't think that this is entirely Joe's fault; you manage how you were managed unless you know better, and he simply sold his sol in order to climb to the top of Jeremy's pyramid scheme. The worst thing about Blackstone is that this is exactly the type of behavior the corporate structure (if you can call it that) promotes.
If anyone is going to put up a fake threat saying I'll get sued for defamation, good luck with that. I hope you learn from having your last bluff called, and get a real lawyer; you're probably going to need one soon anyways.
Blackstone Consulting Inc
Minnetonka,#3REBUTTAL Owner of company
Fri, February 10, 2012
Statement from my attorney (I chose to not use the person's name):
On January 27, 2012, Blackstone Consulting, Inc. and Jeremy Reboulet, its owner
and President, commenced civil litigation against the defendant, a former employee of Blackstone, in the Hennepin County (Minnesota) District Court. The Complaint alleges that the defendant defamed Blackstone and Reboulet by publishing false statements to an internet website and elsewhere which harmed Blackstones and Reboulets professional, business and personal reputations. The Complaint seeks compensatory damages, together with a declaratory judgment declaring that the defendants published statements concerning Blackstone and Reboulet constitute defamation per se under applicable laws.
The Complaint also seeks a temporary and permanent injunction commanding the defendant to remove the previously-published defamatory statements, to publish a retraction of such statements, and to take all appropriate actions to cause the delisting of the defamatory content and removal of the content from the internet. The
lawsuit was commenced when the defendant failed to comply with Blackstones and
Reboulets demand that the defendant withdraw and retract the defamatory statements.
