It is our goal at Bluegreen Corporation to provide all of our valued owners and guests with professional service and quality resort accommodations and amenities. While we were not able to personally contact Wendy due to her contact information being withheld on this web site, we would like to take this opportunity to address the issues she mentioned. In doing so, we sincerely hope that we are able to provide clarity to Wendy as well as others who may visit this web site. In her posting, Wendy made reference to the importance of reading the contents of any contract and being sure to retain a copy of all documents. Bluegreen encourages all of our owners to carefully review the terms of their purchase. To provide some background, at the time of purchase, all new owners receive contractual documentation, which clearly explains the terms of the purchase. For example, new owners receive an Owner Confirmation Interview, which includes a detailed description of many relevant aspects of the Bluegreen Vacation Club. Each item included within the Owner Confirmation Interview is explained in detail to all new owners so that they clearly understand the terms of their purchase. The Interviews are recorded with the customer's consent and our mutual protection. In addition, new owners are presented with a comprehensive three-ring binder that outlines the Bluegreen Vacation Club and our resorts. They also receive a Multi-site Public Offering Statement for the Bluegreen Vacation Club, which is a public disclosure document that contains explanations regarding how our reservation system operates. Finally, all new owners receive a checklist, including a listing of all documents that were involved in the purchase, and sign a receipt confirming that they received a copy of the Multi-site Public Offering Statement. Thus, immediately after the purchase is concluded, Bluegreen makes certain that all new owners receive a copy of every document signed at the time of purchase. Bluegreen is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean. Bluegreen is very proud of our good reputation and positive relationship with the BBB. We are a quality company that practices ethical business standards in all dealings with our customers. We make every effort to ensure that our associates adhere to the guidelines set forth by our company and comply with all applicable federal and state laws. Our associates are specifically trained to treat each consumer they contact with respect and professionalism. To that end, we are troubled to hear when issues arise with owners or guests who are not satisfied with us for any reason. At the same time, we take the necessary steps to rectify such issues whenever possible, including but not limited to those brought to us by the Better Business Bureau serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean. As of December 2006, Bluegreen Corporation has nearly 170,000 satisfied vacation owners in the United States and abroad. We take very seriously our responsibility to our owners, including our strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, and we invite our owners to contact us for assistance with reservations and other aspects of ownership. We have a professional and knowledgeable staff in place for the purpose of assisting our owners with any issues or concerns related to their Bluegreen vacation ownership.
