I purchased a replacement lamp for my Mitsubishi DLP television from Bluestar International Components on 02/21/09 order #41411 and it was to include a 1 year warranty. I have purchased from this company several times before and have not had a problem until now, but this issue is so ridiculous it wipes out any positive experience in the past. Per the manufacturer's website, the bulb should have a few thousand hours of life, but I barely got a few hundred out of the item I purchased from Bluestar. On October 30th, 2009 I emailed their RMA department at the email address
[email protected] and received a very quick response from a Jonathan Williams at Bluestar and he gave me an RMA number of #BL0021/Warranty Exchange and was told that
"We will replace the lamp upon receipt and inspection." and to
"Please feel free to call or email us with any additional questions." I shipped the item back at my own expense via UPS (Tracking #1Z4729360354418853) and it was delivered on November 9th and signed for by a person in receiving with the last name Mills. I tried several times over the next few weeks to contact the company via phone and via email on 11/14, 11/20, and 11/30 and received no response. I have left several voice mails even though it required many multiple calls to get through their constant full voice mail boxes, problematic answering systems and non-working numbers, and have still to this date (12/04/09) received no response. I purchased an item in good faith from this company and no feel like I have been ripped off.
