Boalt Masonry Terry, Carter & Lowell Boalt They were hired to repair footing drains. They hit my foundation causing cracks. They yanked & severed well wire causing a horizontal crack of the joints of the blocks. Water seeped into crawl space area. Terry came back to put a dehumidifier in the area. I paid them $8,500 (but they did do another job; an outside stairwell to the basement). They were to come back in the spring to finish the back fill. They NEVER came back to back fill. My footings are now above freeze level. I paid $165 (my well guy) to run a new well wire; Boalt's "shrink" repair shortedt the panel box. Stormville New York
Nov./Dec. 2008, I hired Boalt Masonry to repair my footing drains around 2 sides of my addition. Carter Boalt hit my foundation with the back h*e causing cracks on the west wall under the deck & hit the north wall; chipping my new siding & scratching the foundation. He yanked up & severed my well wire right after I physically showed him where this wire was. The yanking of this wire caused a horizontal crack along the joint of the block. He repaired the wire with the shrink stuff. A few months later the well tripped at the panel box; water had seeped into his so-called repair. I had to pay my well guy $165.00 to run a new well wire (I had my own wire) 2009.
Boalts were supposed to come back Spring 2009 to finish back filling up to the level I initially had the soil. They never did thus leaving my footings above freeze/frost level.
Water seeped into the crawl space area less than 1 week after they finished their shoddy work. Terry came by once to put my dehumidifier into the crawl space. As he was putting my dehumidifier into the crawl space, he dropped it hard on its side. The dehumidifier ran for 2 weeks before I found it was not collecting water. Terry broke my dehumidifier when he dropped it.
This job cost me $8,500 (cash) but they, also, did a stairwell...which is not up to par but for right now it's not collapsing.
I called & wrote Terry several times about the water seepage; a lot of water. He never responded.
I wrote to Consumer's Affair 2010; they are useless & should be disbanded. A waste of taxpayers' money & they appear to be on the businesses' sides. Terry blamed his shoddy work on other people who had completed work here. Funny, how I had no problesm until he worked here. I became frustrated & gave up with my complaint; not knowing who or where else to turn.
2013 - my daughter checked out the 16' north wall (the well wire wall). The block had slide in about 1/2" at the area where the well wire was initially; about ten 16" block had slide inward.
May 2014 - I had an "enclosed water system" installed. The crawl space area is dry now. $5000.00 for this job.
After all the damage Terry & brothers did, my foundation continues to lose its strength & integrity; lots of cracks horizontally & vertically. I have to now replace the west (19') & north (16') walls.
Do not hire Boalt Masonry. I know 2 contractors who will not use Boalt Msasonry; Cary Hade & Don Otto.

January 11, 2016, I was at the Town Code Enforcement Office. I asked the code enforcer if he knew Terry Boalt. He told me he does know him & that he has received numerous complaints against Terry Boalt including that Terry takes peoples' money & never returns to do or finish jobs. Of course, I will not document the town enforcer's name due to people getting their panties in a twist when names are documented.
Just more info why one should NOT hire the Boalts/Boalt Masonry. You have all been notified. GOOD LUCK...!!!

Al (mentioned previously), Cary Hade, Wayne S., Tom D. & numerous other people saw the results of the Boalts' shoddy work in the Spring 2015. The west wall had vertical (where Carter hit the west wall with the backhoe) cracks. The west wall had veritcal & horizontal cracks, the north wall had horizontal cracks & had slide in (by 2015) 3/4". The north wall was where the well wire came through; this well wire was yanked & severed by Carter Boalt thus causing approx. a 12 foot horizontal crack along the joints. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to see that the Boalts caused this issue(s).

Paid $6,000.00 to have the west & north walls removed & rebuilt. A nice job was completed.
Terry, no need to harass anyone or bad mouth them 'cause of what they told me about you. BTW, I know you went with Donnie to do an estimate. After you & Donnie left, you called this customer to underbid Donnie's estimate. LOL...this customer called Donnie & asked him what kind of people do you have working for you. This customer told Donnie about your call to underbid. That's what we call a schmuck. Donnie told me this at his mom's house when we were there. I've known Donnie since 2nd grade. And as for Cary Hade, he gave you a job & you f*cked it up. I believe it 'cause you certainly f*cked up here.
And Dave P. (plumber) you bought here, we were in HS together. When you & I had the issue about the $264.00 Forever Door that you verbally agreed you would install, then you b*tched about it 'cause of the price. Dave told me you do this with all your customers. NOW I know why you didn't want to sign a contract.

The Boalts suffocated my Italian plum tree, also. They buried the surface roots & added 18" of soil up the trunk of the tree. I told them this was going to suffocate & kill my tree. They told me the tree had "blight"...BS...!!! This tree produced loads of plums. They did remove some soil from around the tree but not enough; the tree died & I had to pay more money to have the tree cut down.
BTW, the footings drains that they were hired to repair never worked after their destruction of them. I could have hired a bunch of retarded mosquitos; Carter sleeps on the back h*e while working. I saw him & I mentioned this to Al (((Redacted))) (contractor). Al laughed & said, "I know."
The Boalts were recommended to me by an older man who knew their father. It was their father who had the "good reputation". The father passed & the sons took over the business which they have now ruined.
Another man (a contractor neighbor across the street), Bill (((Redacted))), told me he would never give them another job. Bill gave them a job & Terry Boalt ripped him off; under paid him as per their agreement. Just spoke to Bill yesterday & he told me this.
I will have to pay out another 5-7 grand to replace these foundation walls that the Boalts destroyed.
I am trying to post pics of the damage.
Terry, if you read this & wish to project the damages onto someone else...forget it. Everyone in this town knows what you did. I will pass a polygraph. I bet you won't...
