Where do these people get off reporting a charge off when I haven't heard or been billed from this company in years!

They processed a charge off for $2.00!!!!!!!!!!

That was surely very interesting explaining to the bank why there is a R9 credit rating from a company I haven't heard from in over 16 years.

I want that charge off taken off my credit report. Thank you very much!!!!

Beware credit card companies...you can't just charge people for credit cards never used.

Good Luck dealing with a corrupt company Business Week reported The SEC and Justice are examining whether Citigroup Asset Management overcharged mutual-fund investors for recordkeeping services.

Citibank is widely known these days for corrupt activity. In fact Business Week reported this week (October 4, 2004 issue)about this very problem. Things considered are: 1. Regulators are mulling whether to charge top Citi officials with failure to supervise analysts and investment bankers. Action could come by yearend. 2. The SEC and Justice are examining whether Citigroup Asset Management overcharged mutual-fund investors for recordkeeping services. 3. British authorities are investigating Citi's government bond desk in London. It sold at least $13 billion of European debt in August then quickly bought back much of it at lower prices. 4. Enron creditors are suing Citi, charging that it failed to say what it knew of the poor state of Enron's finances when it sold $2.4 billion in Enron notes. Citi is fighting the suit. 5. The SEC is looking at how Citi handled the accounting for its soured business in Argentina, where it wrote off $2 billion in loans in 2002. 6. Citbank is banned in Japan. On August 18th, the British Financial Services Authority launched a formal investigation into an incident where traders on Citigroup's London based bond desk dumped at least $13.3 billion worth or European government bonds onto the market, then bought a third of them back at lower prices within about a half hour. Profits were probably as much as $24 million. When a rival trader called to ask what was up, the Citi crew laughed and hung up. While it wasn't illegal, they broke an unwritten understanding not to whipsaw the markets. Within weeks after the CEO's apology and promise that it wouldn't happen again, Japanese authorities ordered its local private bank shut down and launched an investigation that has so far uncovered extensive legal violations over seven years, including lax governance and money laundering controls and unfair transactions. 7. During the tech-stock boom, many actions of analysts and investment bankers were considered questionable, and are now being investigated by the SEC. Administrative charges may be brought in the next few weeks. 8. A wall street analyst describes Citibank's culture as "one of the most aggressive corporate cultures in banking". "These people grow up with claws and fangs." 9. If you check the court schedule in your local court, you are likely to find Citibank suing many local people who have fallen onto hard times. They are clogging up the courts and forcing many people into bankruptcy. When defendants try to work toward settlements, they will not budge below 80% of the lawsuit amount, adding to that all their legal fees and expenses, which will add up to the discounted amount very quickly, effectively making the settlement for the full amount of the lawsuit. That is the most they can require without the judge ruling that they are being unreasonable. 10. As they force more people into bankruptcy, they are sponsoring a bill in congress that claims bankruptcy fraud is at an all time high. They want to make credit card debts non-dischargable in bankrupcty, forcing people into a virtual debtor's prison for most of their lives. Clearly not the intention of the bankruptcy law - which is intended to help people get a fresh start. 11. Being the most powerful bank in the country, many courts are familiar with the attorneys they use to sue customers. The defendants are at a significant disadvantage because of the relationships developed between the judges and the attorneys, and the political pressures in banking regulation. (see Business Week issue September 27, 2004 page 36) Please folks. Recognize the threat here. This is not just a corrupt company. It is part of the most successful and sinister scam in the history of the world. This is no conspiracy theory. Our banking system is slowly taking over by influencing our laws, wielding tremendous political power, and using the Federal Reserve to enslave our government and our citizens with debt, and sucking the wealth out of our citizens through interest charges on money created for the system. (The Federal Reserve is a PRIVATE corporation owned by it's member banks.) Credit cards have accelerated the process, by promising "the good life" with the convenience of the credit card, while they make 2% to 6% discount rates from the merchants, and unreasonably high interest rates off of customers, on virtual money they created from nothing, based only on our signatures. We have to stay away from banks, and send them the message that we are not going to take their abuse anymore. The only way to get this stopped is for all American citizens to become active in writing their congressman and complaining about the banking system. Ask to get the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 repealed, and to go back to where money was under the control of the people - NOT a central bank. This will stop the interest being charged to the people by the banks, for money created out of nothing by the Federal Reserve to increase the money supply and fund the federal budget, and will result in the Federal Income tax no longer being needed to pay that interest. The positive effect on our economy would be tremendous. Get involved in an organization called "Freedom Force International" which you can find with an Internet search, which is a group of citizens taking action to stop this abuse of our freedom and liberty.

There is no separate number for BP/CITI, as it belongs to CitiBank. So call CitiBank @ 18009505114, to see if your account is showing in their system. they can pull it up with your social security, your name and your mothers' maiden name. If not, do the following: Write a letter to the following address: P.O. BOX 6241 Sioux Falls, SD 57117 this is the address of CitiBank Credit Bureau Dispute department. Ask them to remove/clear the credit history information on all the 3 credit bureaus. And it may take 1 or 2 months before it clears from the credit report. Hope it helps.
