Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I initially made contact with Brenda Blake in March 2013.  She was explaining to me how the process works when using Apartment Locators.  She told me that if i put her name down as a referral when i did my paperwork at the apartment that I would get $100.  Well here it is 45 days later and I get a gift card for $25.  Please don't let this crook use you like she did me if anyone out there ever uses this company make sure, please make sure you get the amount they quote you in writing up front.  Because she was slick by telling me the amount verbally and not putting it in writing!! She made $400 off me and I wish I had never dealt with her.  All the people at her company might not be crooks but she is!!! Beware and learn from my mistakes......

In response to Karen's complaint.  I offer a free service, helping people locate an apartment.  I send them a very detailed report with pictures, floorplans, mapping, etc. and escort if they ask.  As a thank you for using my free service I offer to send them a gift card once the property has paid our invoice.  I never mention an amount, it is based on:

1) if the property pays,

2) the rent per month,

3) if the tenant cancels

Karen stated, "I made $400 from her".  That is not fact.  I make a small % when paid. She actually called me to complain re the $25.00, said the "manager" could have gotten $400.00. Out of 500 leases I have done this is the only complaint.  You can't please everyone.  However, I take offense when someone calls me a crook.  25 years in the business and no problem.  Bottom line, the gift card is a "thank you" for using a free service.  If she wasn't happy with her new apartment and needed my help I would do it, no question.

Sincerely,

B Blake
