Bruce A. Berman offers his book and a CD for "free." Well it is not exactly free. They charge a $3.95 s/h fee. That wasn't so bad. I soon received the book, pulled it out of the padded envelope and started reading it.
About 35 days later, I finally get to the section on raising money (ya, I'm a slow reader) and it mentions this software package for the umpteenth time and I get curious and look inside padded envelope and find a bunch of other stuff.
Low and behold, there is a flyer with some software that says I need to call within 30 days to avoid a $99 dollar charge for these CDs!!!
I call them right away and they inform me that I'm passed my 30 days and my card has been charged. I ask them when I ordered this stuff and they tell me that it was clearly stated when I filled out the forms online.
Hello!!! If it was "clearly" stated, I would not be wondering how I ordered the stupid software!!
The guy realizes I'm not happy and puts me on hold to "check his policies." He comes back and says he can give me $40 off the charge and I can keep the package. I quickly accepted because I thought I was lucky to get that being as I supposedly was passed this deadline that I didn't know about.
After reading some other reports about this company, hindsight tells me I probably should have asked what he would give me if I sent the software back.
So, I'm out $60 bucks. CRAP!
Stay away from these scam artists - and I MEAN "artists." This was truly ingenious, taking advantage of some, most likely BURIED agreement statement that commits you to "try" out this software. This evil person really knows how to take advantage of the little guy.
