In June of 2005 my husband and I finally, after many months of searching, found the puppy we had been wanting for years. I contacted Mary Maczko after seeing the English Bulldog on their website. We sent them a total of $2400 in one lump sum so that we could get the dog the next day. I was working at Fort Jackson in Columbia at the time as a nurse and had plans to meet a friend of Mary and Tammy's after I got off work to pick up the puppy as they were supposedly in Texas delivering a puppy.

We used Paypal to send the money and kept the receipt with the terms included that the puppy was able to be registered through FCI and AKC and a one year health guarantee. I picked up the puppy (Otis) the next day and was very pleased with him. He was very loving and playful but dirty. I was told that there wasn't enough time to get him bathed and he had a little cough. When I inquired about the paperwork, I was told that Mary and/or Tammy would get in touch with me. I did speak with Mary and made plans to go to her house to pay the $125 registration fee for FCI and so they could "give Otis a kiss goodbye".

My mother-in-law, my son, Otis the puppy and myself went to Mary and Tammy's house as planned. I gave Tammy a check for $125 for the registration. It was deposited and cleared within two days. We have emailed and called numerous times regarding the pedigree paperwork and have still not received anything. I have been given many excuses such as....the weather in Russia has been bad and the mail is behind, we have been very sick, dying family member, the man at Kinko's lost the paperwork that we faxed......the list goes on and on. As of now, it has been one week since our last email and have still not received a response. We are very happy with the dog--he is now a member of our family--however we would like to mate him with another registered English bulldog and we can't. Mary gave us a discount of $100 off the purchase price because we agreed to allow her to use Otis as a stud one time. The last time I spoke with Mary she told me "don't worry about the papers. I can't use him either until the papers come in" (very rudely may I add).

I am normally a very easy going person and always try to see the good in everyone, however my husband and I have been ripped off!!! We will be seeking legal action if we do not receive the completed and filed registration paperwork from the FCI that we have paid for.

Tonya (and others) The english bull dog paperwork you recieved - is it from Russia- absolute kennel? Is the export pedigree not correct (does not show Mary Maczko as USA owner????) Mary Maczko is selling dogs with this russia dog breeder - see puppycity ad Please contact AKC ask for Shelia, per AKC "Mary Maczko knews extactly what she is doing - AKC has other dog buyers of Mary Maczko waiting to get the paperwork straightened out" Stop bad dog sellers from ripping off people like this. Read my ripoff complaint closely - you can find out who I am - would love to be able to talk - I have found others that brought english bull dogs from Mary Maczko that is in the same place as we are. I am waiting until 10/5/07 for Mary Maczko to straighten out our english bull dog's paperwork. But, I am in New York state, waiting But, I have been busy doing research- will be taking legal action - this is not going to end until our dog is AKC registratable and has proper paperwork it should have had when it was sold Please contact AKC if your paperwork is not valid - write letter of complaint - you are not alone - there is others, like the Holley's in newark.

I just wanted to update that although it took one year and five months to get--we finally received the FCI pedigree papers from Mary and Tammy. Now we will be able to register our bulldog with AKC and start making some more beautiful bulldog puppies!!!
