Bullet Motorsports Jonathan Perque False Advertising, Misrepresentation, Fraud Fort Lauderdale Florida
I purchased a 1966 Mustang from Bullet Motorsports and Jonathan Perque that was advertised at "fully restored" and "completely gone through" by their mechanic. Jonathan told me a long story on the phone about how he has all of the cars he sells inspected by his mechanic because one time he didn't and the brakes failed and he almost died blah blah blah... it was all lies. I had the vehicle inspected by a third party only to find out later that Jonathan would not let the inspector complete a full inspection. Not knowing the issue with the inspection, I purchased the vehicle.
When the vehicle arrived at my house, I found numerous undisclosed issues, not the least of which were a trans leak and the frame is completely destroyed. The frame has cracks, holes, kinks and bends in it that did not come from the factory. Someone tried to cover up the damage with sheet metal, bondo and black paint. It is difficult to see in photos, but in person, it is obvious. I even asked Jonathan about the sheet metal that I could see in the photos before I purchased it and he told me not to worry about it, just to get me to buy the car.
My mechanic says this car cannot be driven and will be more expensive to fix than what I paid (which was close to $30,000)! The damage is so severe and obvious, there is no way Jonathan did not know about it. When I called him to discuss it he told me that I bought it as-is, but he would give me a couple grand so I could set up the suspension however I like. That would be great if I could steer it without worrying about the car cracking in half. Jonathan refuses to take back the car and will not take responsibility for knowingly selling me a non functioning car after purposely misrepresenting it on his website.
