In some states, there are family guidance centers. These centers provide a space for parents to regularly meet together, or as individual parents, to learn how other parents handle tough parenting problems. The centers provide a person with a vast amount of general knowledge about child guidance to supervise the discussion. The cost is very minimal. The trained discussion leader motivates the participants to describe problems and discuss, as a group or individual, alternative parenting techniques. Be patient! Listen and learn! These trained professionals usually listen to the parents and allow the parents to interact with each other in sharing their experiences. These discussions help parents learn how to resolve problems within the home. If the conversations lead into unethical or unwise resolutions or disussions, the trained professional wisely interjects his/her thoughts to redirect the conversation. This sort of workshop has helped many individual families as they seek ways to mend problems in the home. Search for a similar commuity guidance center near you. Be patient as you seek help! Of course the very best resolution to family problems is to seek guidance from the One who knows what is best for each member of the family! He can redirect the path of each family member. Getting the whole family involved in Bible study will help bring meaningful resolutions to problems. A good place to begin that Bible study is the book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs contains 31 chapters, one for each day of a month. Take the challenge! Challenge each family member, through example, to "Study to show him/herself approved by God, a workman that doesn't need to be ashamed because he/she rightly divides the word of God." (2 Timothy 2:15). "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7). Remember, too, as you get involved in a parenting discussion group or individual counseling that things discussed in these sessions are 'frozen confidentially inside the room' within the mind and heart of individual participants. Seek professional counseling assistance! Don't allow CPS a means to take your children into custody, foster them out and eventually adopt them to foster parents who are willing to take them in so DHS can receive further rewards and bonuses. The Adoptions and Safe Famimlies Act of 1997 clearly promotes taking children into custody, fostering them out and adopting the children to foster parents willing to adopt them. Every time a child is taken into custody, fostered out and adopted, CPS is given financial awards and bonuses as provided by the ASFA. Exceeding previous goals brings even further bonuses! Read the document! When you have some spare time, look for the ASFA. Read the provisions the ASFA gives to the Department of Human Services. Search for reports on how each state is adapting the ASFA to the advantage of that state. Read how bonuses and awards are given to DHS for taking children into custody, fostering them out to people they 'train' to follow their instructions. Find out how much foster parents are paid when they follow DHS's instructions. You will NOT believe the monies that Medicare is feeding to DHS and their contractors! If you read the ASFA carefully, you, too, will find that DHS EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS are paid by Medicare funds through the requirements of the ASFA! Could this be fraud? State legislators need to carefully review the ASFA! Applying the provisions of the ASFA will break Social Security's Medicare program! A big concern is the FACT that virtually EVERY child taken into DHS custody is determined to be "emotionally disturbed" (handicap) and immediately placed on Medicare benefits provided for handicapped individuals! Certainly, any person who is 'jerked up' and placed with querrying strangers is immediately emotionally disabled! POOR CHILDREN! One of the problems is that DHS employees are permitted to fabricate lies and write them in their 'secret' files. Read their 'secret' files! You'll be very surprised! DHS caseworkers and their contractors are known to fabricate fictitious witnesses and even fictitious family members! They refuse to bring those fictitious witnesses or family members in to testify. It's not a case of anonymous reports made to DHS! It's full blown lies fabricated by caseworkers to 'pad' the requirements of their position. Read the records DHS maintains as their 'secret' files. Those 'secret' records can be released through lawyers requesting judicial orders for their release. Individuals can even submit requests to read the 'secret' files that contain particular information about that individual. The question is ... how much of the information is removed or altered before it is released to the requestor? Verify the accuracy of the 'secret' files maintained by DHS involving your family. You will likely be very surprised! Be aware that it is a KNOWN fact that their employees combine files, accidentally or on purpose, to help arrive at their desired results! Case workers have the excuse that their workload is too heavy! Their workload MAY BE heavier as they apply the ASFA. If a caseworker or DHS employee is 'caught' in the act of falsifying information or abusing or neglecting a child, they are just simply moved to another case. It's classified as 'ethics' in the workplace. Some employees, knowing they have erred, resign their position with DHS in order to gain employment with private DHS contractors. These actions are also classified as "ethics" to protect employees and their career. Remember that foster parents are not permitted to spank a foster child. They are allowed to use DHS recommended 'disciplinary' methods to correct behaviors. Parents need to be allowed to learn similar behavioral controls, too. Parents need to be informed about parental assistance workshops and conferences and encouraged to participate in them. Our tax money pays the majority of the expenses for these aids. Parents and other family members need to be informed! It is very sad that children in custody never really get to know what life would have been like had their own parents been allowed to learn better parenting techniques before the family was destroyed by DHS. Children in custody are are only told what DHS caseworkers and their contractors WANT them to know and those tales are often altered to the desires of the contracted counselor or DHS caseworker. Remember that the more children DHS can take into custody, the greater their rewards and bonuses will be as they follow the requirements of the ASFA. Best wishes!
